How Strong Are the Angels?

YouTube, mp3

In heaven there is perfect harmony that works under the direction of a leading angel in music. This is the lesson that if we want to have harmony, this is God’s representation and example of harmony. There is order in heaven. The order is so fascinating. To some people these things appear as unnecessary in heaven.

There is perfect order and harmony in the Holy City. All the angels that are commissioned to visit the earth hold a golden card, which they present to the angels at the gates of the city as they pass in and out. Heaven is a good place. I long to be there and behold my lovely Jesus {EW 39.2}

Everyone has their place; there is the gatekeeper, maybe gatekeepers, there is a golden card by which the angels can recognise these persons have a right to enter the city. Read the rest of this entry

The Gates of the New Jerusalem

For ninety years the wicked live again, the gates to the new Jerusalem are opened and then later closed…

After the judgment of the wicked dead had been finished, at the end of the one thousand years, Jesus left the city, and the saints and a train of the angelic host followed Him.  {EW 291.1}

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;  12 And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:  13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.  14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

There is the New Jerusalem, the metropolis of the glorified new earth, “a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.” Isaiah 62:3. “Her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” Revelation 21:11.  {FLB 363.2}

And they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord giveth them light.” Revelation 22:5. The light of the sun will be superseded by a radiance which is not painfully dazzling, yet which immeasurably surpasses the brightness of our noontide. The glory of God and the Lamb floods the Holy City with unfading light. The redeemed walk in the sunless glory of perpetual day.  {FLB 363.4}

The Twenty Four Elders of Revelation

Revelation 4:4 And round about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Is Jesus Christ Michael the Archangel?

By Aria

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. This is the only place in the Bible Michael is referred to as the archangel. The word archangel is mentioned twice in the Bible and this being is contending with the devil. This character is also mentioned in Revelation.

Tale Bearing and Gossip

You may feel it no sin to gossip and talk nonsense, but this grieves your Saviour, and saddens the heavenly angels. {KC 64.1}

Those who criticize and condemn one another are breaking God’s commandments, and are an offense to Him. They neither love God nor their fellow beings. Brethren and sisters, let us clear away the rubbish of criticism and suspicion and complaint, and do not wear your nerves on the outside. Some are so sensitive that they cannot be reasoned with. Be very sensitive in regard to what it means to keep the law of God, and in regard to whether you are keeping or breaking the law. It is this that God wants us to be sensitive about (GCB April 1, 1903). Read the rest of this entry

The Bible Answers to Grieving

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Lamentations 1:12 [Is it] nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted [me] in the day of his fierce anger. Read the rest of this entry

Conspiracy Theories

2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Let none feel it his duty to make speeches in the presence of our own people, or of our enemies, that will arouse their combativeness and they take your words and construe them in such a way that you are charged with being rebellious to the government, for this will close the door of access to the people. {1888 480.1} Read the rest of this entry

WHAT EVIDENCE OF CHRIST DOES THE PAGAN LENTULUS GIVE?

(Contents of a letter sent by Publius Lentulus, Governor of Judea, to the Roman Emperor Tiberius);

“To His Majesty and to the Honoured Senate of Rome: Greetings from the Senate Lentulus, Governor of Judea!

“I have learnt what you desired to know and am now telling you by this letter. Living here is a man who enjoys a great reputation as a God-fearing person and whose name is Jesus Christ. People call Him Prophet of the Truth, but His Disciples hold that He is the Son of God.–that is to say, the Son of Him who created the heaven and earth and all that has ever existed, exists, and will still exist in all eternity. In Connection with Him, O Emperor, there have been rumours every day of miracles performed by the said Jesus Christ. By a single word He heals the sick and raises the dead.

“He is of medium height and of astonishing beauty. His glance is majestic and inspires a feeling of reverence, love, and fear in all those who look upon Him. His hair has the colour of ripe pistachios–that is, reddish, falls tresses upon His shoulders, and parts in two in the middle of the head in the Nazarene manner. His forehead is high and expresses innocence and calm. In His rosy-coloured face neither a spot nor a wrinkle appears. His nose and His mouth give rise to no criticism, and His dense beard is similar to His hair–long, and parted in two in the middle.

“His look is imposing and serene. He possesses sparkling eyes. The light shining forth from his face is like sunshine, so that it is impossible for anyone to behold Him too long. This radiance arouses fear, but as soon as He starts teaching and advising, He does it with so much sorrow that He evokes love and veneration among His listeners. It has been said that He never laughs, but that His eyes are always tearful. His hands are externally beautiful. When He speaks He is most pleasant. He very seldom contacts high society. As regards His teachings, by them He attracts all Jerusalem. He masters perfectly every science, without having studied even one of them. He walks bare-footed and bare-headed. Everywhere it is said, until now, such a man has never been seen in these places. Read the rest of this entry

The Saracens and the Seal of God

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

The seal of God in the foreheads is in reference to the Sabbath keepers of that time. After Mohammed passed away, the next man to be the religious leader of the Saracens was Abu Bakr AD 632. Notice what he said as he gave order for his Saracen bands.

“When you fight the battles of the Lord, acquit yourselves like men, without turning your backs; but let not your victory be stained with the blood of women or children. Destroy no palm-trees, nor burn any fields of corn. Cut down no fruit trees, nor do any mischief to cattle, only such as you kill to eat. When you make any covenant, or article, stand to it, and be as good as your word. As you go on, you will find some religious persons who live retired in monasteries, and propose to themselves to serve God that way; let them alone, and neither kill them nor destroy their monasteries: and you will find another sort of people that belong to the synagogue of Satan, who have shaven crowns; be sure you cleave their skulls, and give them no quarter till they either turn Mahometans or pay tribute.”2 . Christ’s Humanity – The Secret Hidden from Generations

Romans 16:25, 26 Now to Him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

Born Of a Woman

1. As the seed of the woman, how was the Son of God born into this world? Why did Satan rejoice?

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Read the rest of this entry

The Flood

The descendants of Seth were called the sons of God and the descendants of Cain were called the sons of men.

The descendants of Seth were called the sons of God; the descendants of Cain, the sons of men. As the sons of God mingled with the sons of men, they became corrupt and, by intermarriage with them, lost, through the influence of their wives, their peculiar, holy character, and united with the sons of Cain in their idolatry. Many cast aside the fear of God and trampled upon His commandments. But there were a few that did righteousness, who feared and honored their Creator. Noah and his family were among the righteous few. Cc36.6

Genesis 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

The sons of God saw how beautiful the daughters of Cain were and they took them as wives but through the influence of their wives they were corrupted. The sons of God lost they’re godly character and they joined in the general apostasy. Until at last, there was only a few who remained worshipers of God. There was Methuselah and some others who died before the flood and there was Noah and his family. These were the only ones left. Read the rest of this entry

What Is Faith?

By John Thiel

Many have confused ideas as to what constitutes faith, and they live altogether below their privileges. They confuse feeling and faith, and are continually distressed and perplexed in mind; for Satan takes all possible advantage of their ignorance and inexperience. . . . We are to accept of Christ as our personal Saviour, or we shall fail in our attempt to be overcomers. It will not answer for us to hold ourselves aloof from Him, to believe that our friend or our neighbor may have Him for a personal Saviour, but that we may not experience His pardoning love. We are to believe that we are chosen of God, to be saved by the exercise of faith, through the grace of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit; and we are to praise and glorify God for such a marvelous manifestation of His unmerited favor. It is the love of God that draws the soul to Christ, to be graciously received, and presented to the Father. Through the work of the Spirit the divine relationship between God and the sinner is renewed. The Father says: “I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. I will exercise forgiving love toward them, and bestow upon them my joy. They shall be to me a peculiar treasure; for this people whom I have formed for myself shall show forth my praise.” {OHC 77.2} Read the rest of this entry

To Know the Lord

The earth dries up and withers, the whole world withers and grows sick: the earth’s high places sicken, and the earth itself is desecrated by the feet of those who live in it, because they have broken the laws, disobeyed statutes and violated the eternal covenant. For this a curse has devoured the earth and it’s inhabitants stand aghast. Isaiah 24:4-6. Read the rest of this entry

For the Child Shall Die an Hundred Years Old

By Stephen Haskell

Question from reader:

Will you please explain for me Isaiah 65:20: “There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days; for the child shall die an hundred years old, but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” Read the rest of this entry

The Power of Forgiveness

It isn’t hard to believe that Christ can forgive your sins, after all He is everything that is good and lovely and pure but to believe He can stop us from sinning isn’t always easy to believe. To believe that we can be perfectly obedient in this life is something we aim for but do you really believe you can achieve it?  It is a fact that for us to be part of the 144,000 we have to be perfect, keeping the commandments and having the faith of Jesus. But just how can we achieve this? The power lies in understanding and receiving the true blessing of Christ forgiving our sins.
