Transfer of Theory into Practice

By John Thiel, mp3

Scripture reading: Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

We have already made experiences with the Lord. We have been washed from sin; that is why we have commenced our walk with Him. But we still need to understand more of His word in the process of sanctification and character building. This is one of the difficulties that even a born again Christian is challenged with. How to continue to gain practical help from the reading of God’s word? How to transfer the words on the page to our living experience? You know what it is like, I’m sure many times we have gone through experiences of having been informed, having gone through school; we have received knowledge intellectually, but when it comes to the doing of it, we still say, But how? We have information, but how to put it into practice is the question. Read the rest of this entry

The Lion and the Lamb

By Victor Bireaud, mp3

Scripture reading: John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

We have a need to be acquainted with certain traits of character which it is right for the Christian to possess, and we now want to begin our meditation by focusing on the perfect pattern for our character development.

Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? Read the rest of this entry

1. Challenges for True Believers in the Last Generation

By John Thiel, The Last Generation Challenge Series, mp3

Scripture reading: Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

We are living in the last generation. If we are going to be the true believers in the last generation, we have a challenge before us. We are definitely living in the last generation through the prophecies. In this dark time in which we live – what they have actually coined nowadays the “post-Christian era” – true Christianity is not anymore regarded on a broader scope at all.

2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Read the rest of this entry
