Sabbath School Lessons 2015 (Second Half ) – Health Reform

Download in Word format 2015 Sabbath Lesson Second Half – Health Reform The Right Arm of the Three Angels Messages.

Introduction

TO ALL SABBATH SCHOOL STUDENTS ASSOCIATED WITH ADVENT PILGRIMS FELLOWSHIP:

The lessons for the next two quarters will be devoted to an in-depth understanding of the Health Message in its connection with the three angels’ messages. We are seeking to gain a balanced application to the health practices which surround us today. If we wish to be part of the three angels and that other angel of Revelation 18, our health practices should be subservient to the directions given in “harmony with the universe of heaven”. Satan has succeeded to muddy this subject through his agents working in the spiritualistic sources of holistic medicine. Eastern religions also practice heath theories, but these are not to be confused with those given under the inspiration of heaven.

Let us approach these studies prayerfully with submissive minds, ready to relinquish our preconceived opinions if they don’t harmonize with the plain Bible and Spirit of Prophecy revelations. God grant us to understand the inspiration of the following quotes as we venture into these lessons.

“The remnant church is called to go through an experience similar to that of the Jews; and the True Witness, who walks up and down in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, has a solemn message to bear to His people. He says, “I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” (Revelation 2:4, 5). The love of God has been waning in the church, and as a result, the love of self has sprung up into new activity. With the loss of love for God there has come the loss of love for the brethren. The church may meet all the description that is given of the Ephesian church, and yet fail in vital godliness. Of them Jesus said, “I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love” (Revelation 2:2-4)”. Selected Messages Book 1 p. 387.

“Those who understand the laws of health, and who are governed by principle, will shun the extremes, both of indulgence and of restrictions. Their diet is chosen, not for the mere gratification of appetite, but for the upbuilding of the body. They seek to preserve every power in the best condition for the highest service to God and man. The appetite is under the control of reason and conscience, and they are rewarded with health of body and mind. While they do not urge their views offensively upon others, their example is a testimony in favor of right principles. These persons have a wide influence for good.” Counsels on Diet and Food p.198.
