144,000 – Translated Without Seeing Death

Question: If the sealing of the 144,000 commenced in 1848, and some of that number have died and will be resurrected in the “special resurrection”, how can it be said that the 144,000 are translated without seeing death? If order to find the answer to this question, we must be willing to read the Word of God and the Spirit of Prophecy very, very, carefully, and to take it exactly as it reads. We open the consideration with the following statements:

Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [are] thy ways, thou King of saints. Misusing the Testimonies of God’s Love

In our last study ‘Gods Letters of Love through the Spirit of Prophecy’, there were letters that didn’t sound like love. They were very sharp and cutting and we saw that we must understand that the one who is speaking to us in those letters is the one who has great love and compassion for us and we can make a correct conclusion from those statements. Indeed it is possible to misuse the testimonies of God’s love. We saw previously that God’s love to his church was demonstrated for the people living at the very end, a special love at a time when the winds of strife are let loose. They are being held back as God’s people are not all sealed and they would not be able to survive through those terrible times. To assist in this work of being sealed for that terrible time we read 1 Corinthians:
