7. The Power of Godly Thinking
By John Thiel, Let This Mind Be in You Conference, Study 7, mp3
Proverbs 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
We are living in the time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the last moments of earth’s history and as we are under this outpouring, we want to be aware and co-operating with that.
Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life. 24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. 25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Who is speaking? It is the Holy Spirit. Read the rest of this entry

How to support Sabbath Sermons: click here
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
Sabbath Sermons is a small resource information ministry in Australia standing upon the original platform of the Adventist truth. We are dedicated to spreading the special ‘testing truths’ for our time and are not affiliated with the various denominations. This website is administered by lay members only. …with pen and voice (AND INTERNET) we are to proclaim the truth to the world, not in a tame, spiritless way, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power of God. {Ev 121.2}
This website is not Shepherd’s Rod, against the three person Godhead, 2520 or the Feast-Day movement.
God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” ( Matthew 18:20). Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church. {UL 315.5}

What we believe in the three person Godhead:
Response to criticism and sarcasm against John Thiel’s ministry –
No Railing Accusation
“The thing that has affected my heart in regards to things put on the internet from these lips of clay is that God’s cause has been marred. I have examined very closely the things I need to do where God’s cause has been marred.
The messages that come from this pulpit are broadcast on the internet and it is my intention at this time to deliberately address the wider congregation together with those seated before me. Every sermon I have preached in the past has come from a deep reliance on God’s inspiration and a rendition of His written word, yet via an imperfect instrument of earthen clay.
2 Corinthians 4: 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
“To reject the Lord’s servants is to reject Christ Himself. {DA 489.1}
Those serious applications cause me to tremble.
The minister stands as God’s mouthpiece to the people, and in thought, in word, in act, he is to represent his Lord. When Moses was chosen as the messenger of the covenant, the word given him was, “Be thou for the people to Godward.” [Exodus 18:19.] Today God chooses men as He chose Moses, to be His messengers, and heavy is the woe resting on the one who dishonors his holy calling, or lowers the standard set for him in the life and labors of the Son of God. {GW 20.1}”
Understanding the Seriousness of the Hour
By John Thiel
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].
The Remedy for Gossip
By John Thiel, mp3
Does your soul become thrilled through and through every time you hear the name of Jesus? The only way in which this can happen is when we discover our wretchedness and His amazing love towards a wretch like me. When we realise this it sends a thrill through our soul because we discover the amazing physician that could heal a sin wrecked being. That is why Jesus spoke about the publican and the Pharisee. The one who went away was the Pharisee. Why didn’t the publican go away? The publican remained with Jesus because he was a sinner and he knew it and he accepted the blessings of God. The Pharisee on the other hand thought he was alright and because he thought he was alright, he could not sense that amazing love that God had for him. Humanity is sin sick. A deadly malady is upon the human race and only those who know this will seek for the remedy, the physician. A description is made of the condition of Gods church and the world. God is speaking to his own people who were under the prophet Isaiah. In verse 4 he mentions our sinful nature – a people laden with iniquity.
Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. 5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head [there is] no soundness in it; [but] wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
This is God’s vision of the human family. There needs to be a remedy for this condition. Where can we find such a remedy? Read the rest of this entry
