The God Who Steps off His Throne

Luke 15:20 And he arose, and came to his Father. But when he was yet a great way off, his Father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

The bible says the prodigal son was a far way off. He was a long way. While he was a long way off the mind activity he had was, I will arise and go to my Father. The prodigal son had lost his mind. In verse 17 it says when he came to himself;

Luke 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my Father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

At this point the prodigal son in his madness of leaving the Father, after in his desperate situation he comes to himself. Sanity returns. He arose and came to his Father and when he was a great way of his Father saw him, had compassion and ran to him. Read the rest of this entry
