6. An Active, Living Helper
By John Thiel, Preparation for the Close of Probation Conference, Study 6, mp3
We have received much from God’s word to help us understand what this preparation for the close of probation really means. Jesus and the angels and the Father in heaven are active in trying to bring us to this. What we want to do now is to examine more closely the living helpfulness that is found in Jesus Christ, our active, living Helper. We have gained the understanding from the following quote that,
[Jesus] was to stand between the sinner and the penalty of sin; yet few would receive Him as the Son of God. He would leave His high position as the Majesty of heaven, appear upon earth and humble Himself as a man, and by His own experience become acquainted with the sorrows, and temptations which man would have to endure. All this would be necessary in order that He might be able to succor them that should be tempted. {AG 345.2} Read the rest of this entry
5. Reaching for Perfection
By John Thiel, Preparation for the Close of Probation Conference, Study 5, mp3
Probation is a period of time in which we are to be sanctified, rendered holy and without fault before God. Jesus is at work to achieve that. We are to engage and participate with Him in that. That probation time is very, very close to coming to its completion. It is just like in the days of Noah, the people saw the animals coming into the ark; they could see that the door was about to close. For seven days those animals came. Then, after those seven days, if they would have listened and noticed the signs that probation was closing for them, they would have gone in the ark. But no, they were careless about it, they were scoffing. Read the rest of this entry
The Faith Once Delivered to the Saints
By John Thiel
Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard [it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. Read the rest of this entry
1. Christ in the Sanctuary
By John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 1, mp3
We are commencing a new series of studies on the sanctuary and we are studying the sanctuary in heaven which the Hebrew sanctuary was a copy of. This subject is distinctive of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. The early Adventists brought this out of the scriptures in all its beauty.

4. Understanding the Sanctuary of the Heart
By John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 4, mp3
In the first few studies of this series of Christ in the Sanctuary we saw that Christ is found in three sanctuaries – the Hebrew sanctuary, the sanctuary of His body, the heavenly sanctuary. We also observed the detail of what Christ was according to the Hebrew sanctuary. The furniture and the structure of the Hebrew sanctuary identifying each item which points to Jesus. 5. The Sanctuary of the Body
By John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 5, mp3
In our last study we looked at the sanctuary of the heart, the sanctuary in the court and the two apartments. We saw the brain of the body was the two apartment sanctuary. We will now enter into a more protracted study in reference to the physiology of the body as a whole. This study is precisely what the Spirit of God has brought to the attention of those who are meant to be presenting God’s word. Read the rest of this entry

10. The Comfort from the High Priest
By John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 10, mp3
Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount. 11. The Presiding Influence of the Sanctuary Doctrine
John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 11, mp3
The Hebrew sanctuary was a symbol of the heavenly sanctuary, the services were prophetic symbolism of the realities of the plan of salvation. In our last studies, we came up to the subjects, not only of the work of Jesus as He gave His life at the cross, but that He also worked then as a priest, for a period of time in the holy place, and then He moved into the most holy place. We saw that the message for these last days since 1844 is the time of judgment, the Day of Atonement, in which Jesus our High Priest is doing a different kind of work than He did before, and we are called upon to purify our lives. And in such a serious time in which we are living, we have the comfort of the High Priest, that was our last study, the comfort we find in the High Priest. Read the rest of this entry

18. God’s Way of Dress in the Sanctuary – Part 2
By John Thiel, The Sanctuary Series, study 18
God’s way in the sanctuary is the way of holiness.
