8. Our Affections as Missionaries

By John Thiel, Godly Affections That Motivate Series, mp3

Scripture reading: John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Read the rest of this entry

1. Another Movement

By John Thiel, Fourth Angel’s Message, study 1, mp3

The work of this angel comes in at the right time to join in the last great work of the third angel’s message as it swells to a loud cry. And the people of God are thus prepared to stand in the hour of temptation, which they are soon to meet. I saw a great light resting upon them, and they united to fearlessly proclaim the third angel’s message. {EW 277.1} Read the rest of this entry

2. The Description of This Angel

By John Thiel, Fourth Angel’s Message, study 2, mp3

As we studied in our last study Another Movement, we went into the detail of scripture that identifies this angel as another movement. The angel is the ministry of the church. Read the rest of this entry

3. The History of This Angel

By John Thiel, Fourth Angel’s Message, study 3, mp3

When did the fourth angel come into existence? In our last study we studied the description or character of this angel and that character of people. We now want to look at and where these people arose.  In search of this character, we see how they join the third angel’s message as an historic event: Read the rest of this entry

4. The Final Scenes of the Revelation 18 Angel

By John Thiel, Fourth Angel’s Message, study 4, mp3

From our previous studies we have seen clear evidence that the Revelation 18 angel is another movement.  This movement of messengers commenced in 1888.  Two messengers were specifically named – EJ Waggoner and AT Jones in the 1888 Minneapolis General Conference session. It was the revelation of Jesus to his people they would come forth who are faithful to all the Commandments of God.  The message of the 1888 angel created a rift in the church which some people opposed and had they not, it would have spread across the world and the Revelation 18 angel would have happened in great glory. The Loud Cry Via the Church Triumphant

By John Thiel, mp3

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Isaiah 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Five Celestial Messengers

By John Thiel, mp3 (incomplete)

So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still Will lead me on.
O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till The night is gone,
And with the morn those angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

We are longing so much to meet and to be in peace with those angels in eternity. God’s people have cried throughout the ages, How long, O Lord. However just prior to His coming there are very few who cry that. Those who claim to be preaching the coming of Jesus are saying, My Lord delayeth His coming. No one wants to say that if they are longing for His soon coming. For us, we live in the closing scenes. We live in the time of the voice of Revelation 18:4. Verse 4 is part of the Revelation 18 angel (from verses 1 to 4) which has been sounding ever since 1888, and the powerful conveyance of pure truth has taken place ever since that time, and it is swelling to a loud cry. The final loud cry is verse 4:

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Read the rest of this entry

25. The 144,000 — From Whence Are They?

By John Thiel, First Angel’s Message, study 25, mp3

The Godhead has provided facilities that we may appreciate the atonement of Jesus as he has become one with us.  By engaging with Jesus we engage in an apprenticeship with him learning the trade of salvation. This process of sanctification is meant to bring us to what an apprentice finally achieves, to gain mastery over this whole exercise.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The apprentice ultimately will gain skill at the hand of the Master.  That is what an apprentice is ultimately meant to gain.  Those who have been justified finally approach to the full glory of that justification.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Sanctification brings us to a conclusion. Read the rest of this entry
