The Elijah people are to announce the restoration of old paths. How is the God we worship addressed? What is the description of him in the bible?
Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire.
Who is the God we worship? The ancient of days. We want to ask him, what are the paths? What is the way? Teach me thy way O Lord. What is he going to teach us? The old paths, paths to dwell in. He is the ancient of days.
Habakkuk 3:6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways [are] everlasting.
We are living in the world today where people are very restless. People are looking for change all the time. We go into a shopping centre and we see goods stacked in one way then a month later, it’s all different. People change their household activities as they ever want change. We need to get used to things if we are going to live with him in eternity. His paths to dwell in are always the same. He is a rock but because we who have fallen into sinful ways, especially in these last days, man has deteriorated into lifestyles that are ingrained.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
