God’s Church the Place to Change
By John Thiel, mp3
Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
You must be born again – these are the words which Jesus expressed to a leader in the Jewish church at that time. This man was a worshipper of the true God; he had been established in the faith of the Jewish church, concerning which Jesus Himself said to the woman at Samaria, Salvation is of the Jews. He had a personality and a character that had been established over years; he was brought up in the Jewish faith. And Jesus came to him and he found it very difficult to understand at first, but finally it dawned upon him. Jesus was actually trying to tell him something. What was He trying to tell him by saying, You must be born again? The way you are at this present time, you can’t enter the kingdom of heaven. This is what He was saying. You must change; you must start all over again. You must be born afresh. Start from scratch, start from the very beginning of a little baby being born Read the rest of this entry
Your Participation in the Personal Sealing Work
By John Thiel, mp3
Scripture reading: Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
This is a very personal message; it is not just a general subject, it is me and you. It is something that we need to understand so that in what we have studied in reference to the twelve tribes we may not only see ourselves in those tribes, but that we might actually engage in the purification exercises that are required to be among the 144,000, rather than just know about them. We need to be engaged in the sealing work. As we read in Revelation 7, these 144,000 come out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. We want to really understand this as we are to participate in this purification. Washing our robes in the blood of the Lamb, what does this really mean in practice? Read the rest of this entry
7. The Delusion of Immunity to the Flesh
By John Thiel, Removing Delusions and Fallacies Series, mp3
Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Am I immune to my flesh if I am a truly born again Christian? The object of this series is to remove delusions. This was triggered by an important statement of the Spirit of Prophecy:
Let those who have been deluded give up all their fallacies. The love of Jesus will not endure such rivals. {20MR 307.5} Read the rest of this entry
The Judgment Has Set
By John Thiel, mp3
Scripture reading: Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
The judgment has set, the books have been opened;
How shall we stand in that great day
When every thought, and word, and action,
God, the righteous Judge, shall weigh?
Understanding the Concept of Perfection
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Unto what type of man? A perfect man. Who is the perfect man? Jesus Christ. Does anyone disbelieve that Jesus was perfect? We will use Ephesians as the standard. In Revelation it speaks of measuring the people with a rod and the people have to come up to a standard. The definition of perfection is the standard of Christ. Read the rest of this entry
