We are to gain the deep appreciation of the imminence of Christ’s coming. Ever since the fall, believers in the Lord have been expecting Jesus to come. The first born of Eve and Adam, they were expecting to be the Messiah. Right down through the ages there was a hope that they could be ushered into the kingdom of God.
