Light in a Dark Place of Independent Ministries

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:5-7 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

The world is in sin, and is always in darkness, but certain times in the Bible reveal extra darkness. In the days of Noah it was extra dark. Just prior to the first advent of Christ it was really dark, and then we are told in Isaiah that prior to the second advent, it is gross darkness. It is during these times of gross darkness that heaven is especially at work to try to illuminate us through prophecy.

In the days of Noah, Noah presented the prophecy that there would be a great flood, and the ark was built.

Genesis 6:5-8 And God saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
