6. Harvest of Dissension

As we look at the harvest of this earth we see that whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. What is sown is also reaped. God does not arbitrarily deal with the wicked or with anybody that disobeys Him. It is the consequences of what we have been harboring in our mind, in our heart, that will finally punish us. We get to know God correctly when we study the sowing and the harvest correctly.

Our All-Important Duty for this Time

What is the most important work that is upon our shoulders as God’s people that is upon the shoulders of every human being at this present time? The priority that should occupy the people of God just now?

The antediluvians were presented for 120 years with a most important message, a most important duty. What was it? What did Noah have to do? He had to build an ark so that the people could be saved. The building of the ark was important, but was that the most important? Read the rest of this entry

Jesus had just given the parable of the wheat and the tares and the disciples asked a question:

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Here is a challenging call. Who hath ears to hear let him hear. When is the harvest? Jesus said the harvest is the end of the world. What is he talking about? The majority of Seventh Day Adventists believe the harvest is when Jesus comes but true Adventist doctrine highlights something else.
