The Heavenly Physician and His Hospital
By John Thiel, mp3
Are you prepared to let God have His own way with you? When the admonition is to come and let us return unto the Lord, what has He done? Are you prepared to let Him do it?
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. 3 Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain unto the earth.

The church is God’s fortress, his city of refuge, which he holds in a revolted world. Any betrayal of her sacred trust is treachery to him who has bought her with the precious blood of his only begotten Son. {PH154 18.2}
We are reminded that the church is the theatre of his grace or the operating theatre, his hospital in which he delights in making experiments on human hearts. Read the rest of this entry
