3. The Relationship Between the Wheat and the Tares

By John Thiel, Relationships in the Last Days Conference, Study 3, mp3

Scripture reading: Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

We are before the God of the universe.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  Read the rest of this entry

4. The Relationship of Enmity

By John Thiel, Relationships in the Last Days Conference, Study 4, mp3

Scripture reading: Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true [are] thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

This is our last study in this series on Relationships in the Last Days. We are launching out into the year 2009. As we launch out into this New Year, what are we to expect? and how are we going to meet it? Let us reflect now upon the meditations we have had through this conference.

When sin came onto the planet, what did God, He who orchestrates all relationships, introduce into the relationship between man and Satan?

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Read the rest of this entry

2. Silken Cords of Affection

By John Thiel, Relationships in the Last Days Conference, Study 2, mp3

What is written in reference to affection in the last days?

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

What is the peril? It is relationships.

2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Read the rest of this entry

1. Jesus the Spring and Pattern of All Relationships

By John Thiel, Relationships in the Last Days Conference, Study 1, mp3

Scripture reading: Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

We want to focus on the very source of the relationships that we need to understand for the last days. In the beginning – God. That is the way the Bible starts. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He created the heavenly host, all the angels, all the worlds, the cosmos, the stars and the planetarium of vast dimensions. If you look out into the stars you discover there is an immensity out there that is beyond human comprehension. God is the source of all that, but everything that is out there, and everything that is on the planet, is in relation to one another. Read the rest of this entry
