Fit Man and the Scapegoat
By Present Truth NZ
To understand the Fit Man and the Scapegoat transaction, we need to take our minds back to the time of ancient Israel, to see what was required by God of Israel in relationship to their annual Day of Atonement. The Day of Atonement was observed by ancient Israel on the tenth day of their seventh month – originally called Ethanim, and later called Tishri – which corresponds to September and October of our calendar year. This was the day – and the only day of the year – when the high priest went into the second apartment – called the most holy place – of the earthly sanctuary, where the Ark of the Covenant, containing the Ten Commandments – God’s Covenant – was always placed, and where God’s presence was manifested in the Shekinah Glory. When Are the Sins Of Believers Blotted Out?
Sr Aria
Are they blotted out at the time they are repented of and confessed by the sinner? Are they blotted out at the time God forgives the sinner, and writes pardon against his name in the Record Books of Heaven? Have our sins already been blotted out? Are they all blotted out, or only some of them? If they are not blotted out at the time of the sinner’s confession and God’s forgiveness – when will they be blotted out? If they are blotted out at some later stage, why are they not blotted out immediately they are confessed and forgiven? If they are not already blotted out, will I ever know when they are blotted out? Or are our sins blotted out when Jesus comes? These are questions that every sincere Christian should be asking, and seeking the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy answers to. What is God’s great Plan of Salvation relating to the blotting out of the sins of His people? Read the rest of this entry
Understanding Christ in the Hebrew Sanctuary
By John Thiel
It is important that we understand Christ in the sanctuary as the Psalmist occupied his mind with the sanctuary.
Psalms 77:13 Thy way, O God, [is] in the sanctuary: who [is so] great a God as [our] God?
As the psalmist contemplates Gods way in the sanctuary, as was said in Moses time;
Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. Read the rest of this entry
Thy Way, O God, is in the Sanctuary
By John Thiel
As you consider yourself and the normal human heart, do you find it natural to be united with God in all his ways? When you find the challenge of being in unity with God, do you find it all too much? To be all for God is not naturally in the natural man. God is too great, he’s too distant.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 55:9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Read the rest of this entry
The Investigation of the Sanctuary
By John Thiel
John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Are you yearning the eternal life?
“This is life eternal,” Christ said, “that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.” John 17:3. Why is it that we do not realize the value of this knowledge? Why are not these glorious truths glowing in our hearts, trembling upon our lips, and pervading our whole being? {COL 133.3}
If Christians are interested in life eternal what will they be doing? Where did Jesus turn the attention of the disciples in reference to himself?
Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
