Our Security in Trust

By John Thiel, mp3,

Scripture reading: Isaiah 51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. 5 My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

We today have some victories to gain to be part of the church triumphant. Read the rest of this entry

12. Nebuchadnezzar’s Second Dream

By John Thiel, Lessons from the Life of Nebuchadnezzar Conference, Study 12, mp3

Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Nebuchadnezzar was blessed so richly and yet he forgot the blessings that were poured upon him and he ascribed it all to himself. We are admonished in this reading to realise that the blessings we have experienced from the Lord that He has forgiven us for our iniquities in the past, (we know He has) we must not forget when we come into other circumstances which make us think that  although I have had such a wonderful experience at my earlier conversion, now I feel completely dejected and hopeless. Every sermon I have preached in the past has come from a deep reliance on God’s inspiration and a rendition of His written word, yet via an imperfect instrument of earthen clay. Prophesy Against the Shepherds

By John Thiel

Psalm 73:23 Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast holden [me] by my right hand. 24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory 25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee. 26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

The Arm of Flesh Versus the Arm of the Lord

By John Thiel, mp3

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

We desire to worship God in spirit and in truth is to seek and appreciate the arm of the Lord.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.  Read the rest of this entry
