To Be In the Book of Life

Audio: mp3

How do we know if our names are written in the book of Heaven? I hope that by the end we can know whether or not our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. There have been many people who have named the name of Christ who have started following the Lord and never finish. The Bible says that if you were to put your hand to the plough you mustn’t look back. Jesus requires of someone who follows Him, a disciple, to have his or her names written in the book of life. We can’t start building the tower and then fail to finish it. The Bible tells us to count the cost. Considered the effort that is involved to achieve Heaven. Many people consider the costs and many don’t consider the cost. Nevertheless they follow and confess Jesus Christ and their name is registered in the book of Heaven. This name can be blotted out. There is a doctrine that teaches once saved always saved but the Bible does not teach such things. We have security in Jesus Christ and while ever we yield ourselves to Him we are safe.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Here is revealed the mediation of Christ for the saints. He is going to confess them but it is the overcomer whose name will remain in the book. The book of Heaven is filled up with millions of names. The overcomer’s name will stay in the Lamb’s book of life. To those who do not repent, the rebellious that refuse to have Jesus rule over them will have their name removed out of this book. This not only includes those after the cross but also those before the cross of Christ.

Exodus 32:31 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

This great sin was having another god before God. This sin will take your name out of Lamb’s book of life.

Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Moses was saying, these people have turned away from the Lord. They want to follow gold. Moses says forgive them and if you won’t, take my name out of the book. God says I can’t do that. The person who turns away from God, his name will be blotted out of this book that God has written. So we understand that the writing of this book started in the Old Testament. We read in the last book of the Bible that it is still an option. Can you imagine how many names are actually registered in this book before all the names are blotted out?

How many people have professed to follow Jesus Christ? When you make that profession and acknowledge Christ your name is written in the book of life but what we want to know is what makes your name remain there. In the book of Daniel we read of a cleansing time. It spells out the time in which a cleansing was to take place. In the previous verse, one saint was speaking to another saint with regards to the desolation of God’s people. In the vision Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and papal Rome have been displayed as trampling God’s people underfoot. The question was asked, how long shall this desolation go on for? How long is error going to dominate? What was the answer?

Daniel 8:14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

What else took place after the 2300 days? The Bible says unto 2300 days then the sanctuary shall be cleansed. The domination was to subside and God’s truth was to flourish, as well as the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary. Why does Heaven need to be cleansed? Isn’t Heaven pure? What is before God in Heaven?

Isaiah 65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way [that was] not good, after their own thoughts; 3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; 4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable [things is in] their vessels; 5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These [are] a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. 6 Behold, [it is] written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom.

Here were a rebellious people that were continually changing the worship that God had established and inventing new ideas of worship. They thought by performing their religious form and ceremonies they would became holier than other people. Their attitude was ‘don’t come near me because I am holier than you and you are a sinner’. God says that attitude is like a smoke up His nose. It stinks to Him. He hates that. It is written before Him. Right there before our Lord is written the sins of God’s professed people. Do you profess to be God’s child? When you sin it is recorded in front of His face in Heaven. Heaven is defiled because of the records it holds. We can read how visible things are to the God in Heaven.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Everything is naked to Him. He sees all the pretence through the garb of hypocrisy. He sees through it all, right to the thoughts and intents of your heart more than you know yourself. The record in Heaven is very accurate. It is more accurate than you realise. All this is before God with whom we have to do. That sounds like the judge. Do you know why; because He is the Judge. We are in a court of law. The judge has an open book in which is recorded not just your actions and words but the thoughts and intents of your heart as well. This book needs cleansing; the names need to be sorted through, who really belongs in this book and who is pretending. In the book of Daniel we are told at a certain time the Judge sat down to review these books.

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down [or set up, like when you set up a chair], and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

At the end of the 2300 days the Judge sat down to open the books and to cleanse these records. According to the prophecy of Daniel 9 the end of the 2300 days was 1844. Before that time ‘the hour of His judgement has come; worship Him who created the Heavens and the earth’ was the proclamation. The purpose of this call was to consider what was happening in Heaven. The Bible has made it very clear this is time in which we live in prophetic light.

Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, [one] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.

During this judgement time Christ is receiving a kingdom; He is receiving a people. People are being consolidated as to whether they are Christ’s or not. In other words this is describing none other than a sealing time. Who is being judged? Revelation 10 is about the opening of little book of Daniel. There was to be some prophesying and then disappointment and bitterness. What happened after this bitterness?

Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not…

What is being measured? What is being judged? Christ says, with what measure ye meet it shall be measured unto you. With what judgement you judge it shall be judge to you. This measuring is none other than judgement. The judgement was to be upon the temple and the worshippers. The people outside in the outer court were not to be measured yet. This clearly shows that the judgement was to begin at the house of God. This cleansing work, this judgement, we read of in Leviticus 16 as the anti-typical Day of Atonement. Here is a summary of the Day of Atonement, which was to typify the real thing. It’s important for us to know that these things are shadows. If the shadow does something, the real thing had to do it. A shadow copies the reality. We see clearly that Heaven is seen through these sanctuary services.

Leviticus 16:29 And [this] shall be a statute for ever unto you: [that] in the seventh month, on the tenth [day] of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, [whether it be] one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

16:30 For on that day shall [the priest] make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, [that] ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

Where were the sins? They were before the Lord. You and I have made heaven dirty. That is why the records need to be cleaned. In other words, in order to clean Heaven, you and I need to be cleaned. The Day of Atonement was to cleanse the people. As the people are cleansed their records are also cleansed. This cleansing requires the justification of Jesus Christ to cover for the sins of our past. We can never atone for our past sins by any effort of our own. We need the unmerited grace of Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost. If we repent and forsake them our past sins are forgiven. Yet it is not only justification that is needed Jesus wants to clean you so that you will be Holy.

If Heaven records every wrong thing that we do and as some people say there will never come a time when you will overcome your sins, will Heaven’s records ever be clean? No. What needs to take place first is that the sinner needs to have all his past sins cleansed and he needs to be instilled with the Spirit of God to empower him to live a holy life so his future will be clean also then our records in heaven will be clean. There are people who have died they are cleansed and forgiven because their lives were totally resigned to the Lord. The living must come to the same point as it says in Revelation those who are holy must be holy still and those who are filthy will be filthy still. At that time Heaven will be clean. Are you willing to be cleansed? This will determine whether your name remains on the book or not. If you refuse to be cleaned then God will take your name out of the book then the book will be clean. Here is the challenge to all those who profess Christ, here is the seal.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his…

Is that true? Does the Lord really know everyone that is His? Absolutely.

2 Timothy 2:19 …And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

The Lord knows who are His. Everything is open and naked before his eyes with whom we have to do. He knows who are fakers and who are not. So the call is that everyone who is going to name the name of Christ must part from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

This is talking about the house, the human body. There are things in the human body that cause dishonour.

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work.

God is calling for us to sanctify our beings. To use our bodies only for the glory of God in whatever we do. Whether we eat or drink, we will do all to the glory of God.

2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

The Lord is trying to cleanse us to not entertain the lusts of the flesh, or the pride of life, but to follow righteousness and peace so that we can call on the Lord out of a pure heart. This requires the decision of your life. If anyone wants to follow Jesus Christ it requires the total purification of his or her life. Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to allow the Lord to purify you? You will have sacrifices to make. You will have to give up idols. Everything must be secondary to the one important mission of your life, the kingdom of heaven. This purifying requires heat. If we are not willing to go through the heat, can we abide the day of his coming?

Malachi 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he [is] like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

3:3 And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

When Jesus comes, what book will He have with him? The Bible says the wicked will be judged out of the book and He will give every man according to his works. The works are recorded in this book. When Jesus comes this book will be opened and who will abide the day is coming? Those whose name will remain on the book He is refining, purifying and cleansing.

Malachi 3:4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in [his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

This is the day where God will avenge His people against those that have opposed God’s people, like Cain. Abel stood for righteousness and Cain opposed him. He did not want to be purified. God will avenge such people as Abel in the judgement. If you want your offering and incense to be acceptable before God you need to give Him your whole heart, your whole life. As you give Him your whole life He is in the business of dry-cleaning like fullers soap. That is what the dry-cleaner does to make things really white. He is in the business of refining gold. If you give Him your heart is it something great and precious? The heart is deceitful above all things and who can know it? We are giving God something that needs cleaning. We are coming to God and saying, here I am. I’m going to give you something that is dirty and filthy. I want you to clean it and God will if you give it to Him.

But there are people that are too scared to do that because it takes a bit of pain. When our hearts are clean then everything we do is acceptable before God our prayers, our souls and our worship are all acceptable before God. In James it says cleanse ye hands ye sinners and purify your hearts you double minded. Be afflicted and mourn. Let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy into heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up. Are you willing to do that? People say Christianity needs to be a really happy religion. Of course, it does need to be a happy religion but where does the happiness come from? God says I will lift you up. It is the happiness that comes through the joy of the Lord. Anything else on this earth that makes men and women happy we need to be very sober about. In our day the Lord is calling for this time.

Isaiah 22:12 And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:

22:13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.

22:14 And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

What iniquity will not be purged? What sin will keep you out of heaven? It is the sin of not yielding to the requirement of this Day of Atonement. If we become engrossed in the joys of this life, the cares of this world, we are neglecting the work that Jesus wants to do in us. If we neglect that work our iniquity will not be purged because you haven’t engaged in it. Pleasure loving and pleasure seeking if continued will not be pardoned. It will take your name out of that book.

The day of the Lord is approaching with stealthy tread; but the supposed great and wise men know not the signs of Christ’s coming or of the end of the world. Iniquity abounds, and the love of many has waxed cold. There are thousands upon thousands, millions upon millions, who are now making their decision for eternal life or eternal death. {6T 406.6}

To lose heaven do you have to reject every bit of truth? You just need to reject one point and say I don’t want to do that. If we don’t even know the time in which we live how will we know what to give up? We are living in the anti-typical Day of Atonement, in the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, the investigative judgement. We are living when God is sorting out the wheat and the tares. The work hasn’t finished yet. Millions are making their decision by turning their back on God and getting on with their life.

The man who is wholly absorbed in his counting room, the man who finds pleasure at the gaming table, the man who loves to indulge perverted appetite, the amusement lover, the frequenters of the theater and the ballroom, put eternity out of their reckoning. The whole burden of their life is: What shall we eat? what shall we drink? and wherewithal shall we be clothed? They are not in the procession that is moving heavenward. They are led by the great apostate, and with him will be destroyed…

There is a procession moving on. This procession began with the early Advent movement. This procession is moving on. Are you going to join it or are you going to get on with your life on this earth?

Unless we understand the importance of the moments that are swiftly passing into eternity, and make ready to stand in the great day of God, we shall be unfaithful stewards. The watchman is to know the time of night. Every thing is now clothed with a solemnity that all who believe the truth for this time should realize. {6T 407.1}

Is everything solemn or not or is everything really great? What changes your outlook on things is it knowing Jesus is about to come? If you are buying a house and have in mind that Jesus is about to come it will affect the way you deal with the real estate. But if you put Jesus out of your mind will you have a different approach? Do your views in real estate change according to whether Jesus coming is in your mind or not? It sure does.

Everything must be viewed with the imminent coming of Jesus upon us. Some say that if the people back then did this they would have never bought houses, never got married and never had children. They would have never done anything. So does that show we can do it today? Such an attitude shows that we are very close to the end. If they were so keen hundreds of years ago should that make us less keen? We should be keener than they, but are we? We say we’re going to miss out on our fun life if we do what they did. Such thoughts are prophesied to be in the minds of the people just before Jesus comes. Everything is closed with a solemnity that all who believe the truth for this time should realise.

They should act in reference to the day of God. The judgments of God are about to fall upon the world, and we need to be preparing for that great day. {6T 407.1}

Our time is precious. We have but few, very few days of probation in which to make ready for the future, immortal life. We have no time to spend in haphazard movements. We should fear to skim the surface of the word of God. {6T 407.2}

Have you read something many time in the Bible and say there it is again? We should fear to do that. If we gloss over the word of God and don’t put out shovel deep into the mines of truth the superficial knowledge we have will be our greater damnation. It will make the flames of hell hotter than if you did not know at all. We should fear if God’s word or the timing of the prophecies doesn’t motivate us.

It is as true now as when Christ was upon the earth, that every inroad made by the gospel upon the enemy’s dominion is met by fierce opposition from his vast armies. The conflict that is right upon us will be the most terrible ever witnessed. But though Satan is represented as being as strong as the strong man armed, his overthrow will be complete, and everyone who unites with him in choosing apostasy rather than loyalty will perish with him. The restraining Spirit of God is even now being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, fire and flood, disasters by sea and land, follow each other in quick succession. Science seeks to explain all these. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause… {6T 407.3}

Does that happen today?

Men cannot discern the sentinel angels restraining the four winds that they shall not blow until the servants of God are sealed; but when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, there will be such a scene of strife as no pen can picture. {6T 408.1}

If we had that in our minds we would live our life very differently. If the curtains were drawn back and we could see the political strife in this world that the angels are holding back for one purpose only, the sealing of God’s people, our life would be totally different. I pray God will show us that and he will if we study the Bible.

To those who are indifferent at this time Christ’s warning is: Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth. Revelation 3:16. The figure of spewing out of His mouth means that He cannot offer up your prayers or your expressions of love to God. He cannot endorse your teaching of His word or your spiritual work in anywise. He cannot present your religious exercises with the request that grace be given you. {6T 408.2}

That’s what it means to be spewed out. That’s when it means to have your name taken out of the book of life. He cannot endorse anything that you do. Even your love he cannot receive because you have not given him everything. That sacrifice of your love for God is a stink up his nose. Only the pure-hearted person can offer prayer acceptable before God. Do we have to be perfect before God hears our prayers? We have to be perfectly resigned to him for him to hear us. We have to come to him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. God will not despise such a thing. We can be in the most deplorable condition.

If we break our hearts before God and says Lord I want you to take everything of my life and I want to live according to Bible prophecy please help me, he accepts that. But if God had shown us the idols in our hearts and we ignore it He will spew us out. He cannot endorse our teachings, he cannot accept our prayers, and he cannot confess us to the Father in heaven.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Having your name in the book depends upon Him confessing you and delivering all your prayers to the throne of grace.

Could the curtain be rolled back, could you discern the purposes of God and the judgments that are about to fall upon a doomed world, could you see your own attitude, you would fear and tremble for your own souls and for the souls of your fellow men. Earnest prayers of heart-rending anguish would go up to heaven. You would weep between the porch and the altar, confessing your spiritual blindness and backsliding. {6T 408.3}

This is what would happen if you saw what was transpiring in prophecy today.

Joel 2:15-17. Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children: . . . let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O Lord, and give not Thine heritage to reproach.

Get out of your closet. Get out of your world into the real world that is about to perish. That is what the Bible is saying.

Joel 2:12-14 Turn ye even to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth Him of the evil. Who knoweth if He will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind Him?.

Warning, admonition, promise, all are for us, upon whom the ends of the world are come. {6T 410.1}

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. .

Luke 21:34. Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Mark 14:38. Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Take heed to what, to yourselves, lest your hearts be overcharged with pleasure (surfeiting) and the cares of this life. The Gentiles are worried about they eat and drink. Jesus says seek first the kingdom of God and his is righteousness and all these things shall be added on to you. There is food to be had.

Watch against the stealthy approach of the enemy, watch against old habits and natural inclinations, lest they assert themselves; force them back, and watch. Watch the thoughts, watch the plans, lest they become self-centered. Watch over the souls whom Christ has purchased with His own blood. Watch for opportunities to do them good. {6T 410.3}

Mark 13:36 Watch, lest coming suddenly He find you sleeping.

This is very important. Do you know why so many people followed Jesus? He did a miracle where he multiplied the loaves and fishes. Jesus fed thousands of people. They were very impressed and he gained a large following from that. Do you know what Jesus did then? Most pastors wouldn’t do this. Most evangelists wouldn’t do this. He told them a hard saying that was calculated to offend them. He told that no one could come to him lest it be given to them of the Father and they were offended. They walked no more with him. Christianity has some popular sides to it. One is that God will help you in everything you need, in finding a job and all the temporal needs. He will help you, but is that why you follow God? When everything is gone, your house is burnt down, your flocks are kills, your children are dead and you get boils, what will you do? Will you curse God and die? Or will you say, though he slay me yet will I trust him? Is your relationship with God hinging on temporal success? It will soon be proven whether it is or not. All these temporal affairs, every one of them will fail. The only thing that will remain is Christ and his righteousness. If you are hanging on that you will not fail. But if you are hanging on to the cares of this world, you will miss out on the real bread that Jesus was to give you. Jesus made a supper and he has called many to the supper. People gave excuses and said I can’t come. I just bought some land. I just bought a house. T

he mental energy that is required in buying a house and moving into the house and making it a home is intense. When Jesus invites people to come to him, Christians will make excuses by preoccupying their mind with the temporal affair instead of the real thing, of Jesus and his home and the mansions that he has prepared. We can make idols out of all our possessions. Another man said I’ve just married a wife and I’m so occupied in that. I don’t have time to give all to God. I don’t mind him as long as I can keep both in view. Those people will be purged out. These are the people that came to Jesus for the temporal blessings, and Jesus told them very plainly:

There are some of you that believe not; adding, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father. He wished them to understand that if they were not drawn to Him it was because their hearts were not open to the Holy Spirit. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14. It is by faith that the soul beholds the glory of Jesus. This glory is hidden, until, through the Holy Spirit, faith is kindled in the soul. {DA 391.4}

Do you think you have a religious experience? You can know all the facts but there are some hidden things of Christianity that are not given until the soul is born again.

By the public rebuke of their unbelief these disciples were still further alienated from Jesus. They were greatly displeased, and wishing to wound the Saviour and gratify the malice of the Pharisees, they turned their backs upon Him, and left Him with disdain. {DA 392.1}

They became bitter. They didn’t get bitter over religion. It was Jesus. Such attitude is rife among Christian churches. When someone gets rebuked they get bitter about it. In their bitterness they will go off and it will fester until it is revealed.

They had made their choice,–had taken the form without the spirit, the husk without the kernel. Their decision was never afterward reversed; for they walked no more with Jesus. {DA 392.1}

Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner. Matthew 3:12. This was one of the times of purging. By the words of truth, the chaff was being separated from the wheat. Because they were too vain and self-righteous to receive reproof, too world-loving to accept a life of humility, many turned away from Jesus. Many are still doing the same thing. Souls are tested today as were those disciples in the synagogue at Capernaum. When truth is brought home to the heart, they see that their lives are not in accordance with the will of God. They see the need of an entire change in themselves; but they are not willing to take up the self-denying work. Therefore they are angry when their sins are discovered. They go away offended, even as the disciples left Jesus, murmuring, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? {DA 392.2}

Praise and flattery would be pleasing to their ears; but the truth is unwelcome; they cannot hear it. When the crowds follow, and the multitudes are fed, and the shouts of triumph are heard, their voices are loud in praise; but when the searching of God’s Spirit reveals their sin, and bids them leave it, they turn their backs upon the truth, and walk no more with Jesus. {DA 392.3}

Either your sins will be purged or you will be purged out of the books of heaven. The Psalmist says, blot out my transgressions as the thick cloud. Purge me with hyssop that I would be clean. Purging has to take place. It’s your choice what you want to do. Judgement begins at the house of God: professed Christians, not just seventh-day Adventists, every person that has named the name of Christ. This is the biblical truth of the investigative judgement.

1 Timothy 5:24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some [men] they follow after.

Scripture declares that you can have all your sins open now to your understanding so you can repent. You can’t be forgiven unless you repent. There is no repentance in not identifying your sin but only saying we just have to believe in Jesus and we’re saved. If you believe that the law was nailed on the cross there is no repentance in that either for the law is what defines sin. We need to take the blessings with the blessings. We need to not just take the loaves and fishes. God does bless his people temporally but we need to take the blessings of rebuke. We need to take the blessings of being shown our sins and not get bitter about it. If we will have our sins open beforehand we will be blessed. But for those whose sins follow after that is a bad day. The Christian has double the torment than the Gentiles in the outer court.

The Bible says do not measure the outer court leave them out because when Christ comes the wicked will be judged. Those that were once in the book of life and have rejected the truth will again appear before the judgement. Twice. The Bible says that the wicked that profess to be Godly people are twice dead plucked up by the roots. They have two bad experiences. If you want to go and serve the world, go and serve the world. Jesus did not chase down the disciples that left him. He did not beg them to come back. If they don’t want the truth they were free to go. He turned to his other disciples and asked will you go? Will you also go? I pray that we will answer, where shall we go? If we have given up everything on this planet for God, if everything is subservient, then our answer will be, Lord I cannot leave you. You can rebuke me, it hurts but I thank you because of the blessings that it brings. This marriage supper has an RSVP list. That list is getting smaller. Make your decision about what you are going to do and do it, is my prayer.
