03 Sealed In The Forehead

 Audio: Sealed in the Forehead

When something bad happens man always seems to look for a way out. A way so they can still do what they do but do it without being affected. In 1755 there was a great earthquake. It struck on a holy day, the churches were full. They used candles and the buildings came tumbling down. The candles caused a fire. Those that survived the earthquake had to deal with the fire. The people then went to the ocean shore and then they had to deal with a tsunami. Humans always want to run away from something bad. After the New Zealand earthquake, many have left New Zealand. That is the nature of man.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

According to Daniel, the only deliverance anyone will ever receive from the trouble to come is to have their name written in the lamb’s book of life. When the financial crisis happened people were asking where they should invest their money. They realised that bonds, shares and even paper currency wasn’t secure. So they turned to gold but it is written in the Bible that gold will be worth nothing. They will crawl into the caves and throw their gold to the bats and the mould. There is only one place to secure your goods and that is in heaven.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

No one is safe with their name out of that book.

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Here is communication amongst the heavenly host. Angels are commissioned to prevent the destruction upon the world. They are about to let the winds go. The angel comes and says stop until we have done a job. This work is sealing God’s people in their foreheads to consolidate them, to have their names in the book of life, this book needs to be sealed and completed. This is the time we are living in. Your only safety is to have the seal of the living God.

Revelation 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

This is in contrast to Revelation 13.

Revelation 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

As John saw this he then saw 144,000 not having the mark of the beast but the Fathers name in their forehead. His name is what?

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Upon this mountain, this high and lofty place, there is the lamb. His name is holy and there is with him 144,000 having the name in their foreheads; holiness to the lord.

Exodus 28:36 And thou shalt make a plate [of] pure gold, and grave upon it, [like] the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD. 37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be. 38 And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

Holiness to the Lord on the forehead, that everything done will be accepted. God will only accept your service if he has your forehead, your heart. That’s what he wants. The image of the beast, this world doesn’t mind what service it gets. God is not happy with anything short of the whole heart. Are you wholly God’s? Is every part of you God’s? If not all our missionary endeavours and every time we give, if our whole heart is not there, it is an abomination. The great commandment is thou shalt love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul. Every particle you have. Holiness unto the Lord.

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Did Jesus love the Lord with all his heart? Are we to do the same? This is what it takes to be on Mount Zion. This is what it takes to avoid the calamities that will come upon this earth, to be wholly God’s. At that time he will deliver those people everyone that is found in the book.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

To have peace and holiness, these things have to have a place in the mind to be able to exist. Peace and holiness are states of being. When it says holiness is to be on the forehead that means you heart, your frontal lobe the place where the thoughts are cherished, what you treasure. Those thoughts you hold onto, that is you. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Holiness is something to be cherished in your heart. The biggest treasure in your whole life is to be like Jesus. Hold that like any earthly treasure that the earthly would do. Will we do this to avoid eternal danger and physical danger too?

Never forget that thoughts work out actions. Repeated actions form habits, and habits form character. {UL 89.5}

Where does it start? In the thoughts. If we dwell upon holiness, perfection. We must never forget that thoughts work out actions. If we have the holiness of Jesus Christ what will it work out? The actions of Jesus Christ, those actions if allowed to become habitual will be your will. He will deliver his people that are found in his book.

We need a constant sense of the ennobling power of pure thoughts. The only security for any soul is right thinking. {1MCP 285.1}

Have you bolted your soul up? Are you prepared to meet the great crisis with security?

We need a constant sense of the ennobling power of pure thoughts. The only security for any soul is right thinking. As a man “thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). The power of self-restraint strengthens by exercise. That which at first seems difficult, by constant repetition grows easy, until right thoughts and actions become habitual. {1MCP 285.1}

In this proposal to secure yourself, you must have right thinking. Is it easy to control your thoughts? We have an adversary that doesn’t want anybody saved. That adversary has vowed himself to war against Christ and all his followers. In this war, who has already obtained the victory? Jesus Christ. He has developed a pure character, how? By pure thought.

“The prince of this world cometh,” said Jesus, “and hath nothing in Me.” John 14:30. There was in Him nothing that responded to Satan’s sophistry. He did not consent to sin. Not even by a thought did He yield to temptation. So it may be with us. Christ’s humanity was united with divinity; … {DA 123.3}

Satan tempted him and we read that there were thoughts and feelings that annoyed him yet he did not sin even by a thought.

We should preserve the strictest chastity in thought and word and deportment. Let us remember that God sets our secret sins in the light of His countenance…

Is thought a secret sin?

There are thoughts and feelings suggested and aroused by Satan that annoy even the best of men; but if they are not cherished, if they are repulsed as hateful, the soul is not contaminated with guilt, and no other is defiled by their influence. Oh, that we each might become a savor of life unto life to those around us!–RH, Mar 27, 1888. {2MCP 432.2}

If thought can be aroused by Satan, how can Jesus then not sin by a thought? Does that mean he had no temptation by Satan? Do you get tempted by thoughts in your head? Was Jesus tempted in all points like as we are?

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life, these things don’t come from the Father. Jesus has overcome the world. Not even by a thought did he sin.

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Temptation is only temptation from the lust of the flesh. Satan has the ability to create thoughts and feelings from the flesh to annoy even the best of men. Yet, when those thoughts are not cherished, it’s not sin. When it has conceived it bringeth forth sin. There is battle here, where is the battle line? In the thoughts. You can have a wrong thought that is not sin. But a bad thought cherished is sin. That fine line is the battle line. There was picture of angels fighting the heavenly battle with physical muscle. Is that the battle that we are in? Is that the battle in heaven? Hasn’t that battle comes to earth? Did Christ and Satan battle like that in the wilderness?

The war in heaven is a spiritual battle, not physical. Armageddon is a physical battle, not spiritual. We get our wires crossed. The battle line is your line; that gap between your flesh and your heart. A thought can come in and not be in your heart, but when it goes into your heart, that is what you are. As you think in your heart, that is what you are. Jesus Christ kept his heart wholly for God. The thoughts that came still came to the nervous system but it didn’t come into the heart. Satan can create thoughts that will pop into the intelligent part of the brain and then you’ll need to make your choice. You have firewall of defence. In that wall, there is judgement and you make a decision with what to do with that thought. You are the door keeper. Are you going to expel it or let it in?

If we let evil thoughts into the heart, is that holy unto God? No. This is where the battle line is, Satan is trying to get into your heart. So it Christ. Satan forces and Christ knocks. I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice, let me in. Satan doesn’t work into those lines. What is the battle? It is waged until probation closes. When the seeling happens he that is holy be holy still, he that is filthy let him be filthy still. This battle is waging from the war in heaven to the close of probation. Then it is a different battle after that.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

There is the battle, to capture the thought and get rid of it. If you think it’s all about what’s going on inside your mind that is what Christ taught. This battle line was waged in the mind of Christ. The flesh against the spirit. Who won? Jesus Christ conquered. He’s offering us the victory that comes by the word of God. It is the words that we need to hold into our hearts. That is what you are, if you hold the words of God you can be like Jesus Christ. In this warfare, how does the bible describe the wicked?

Psalm 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek [after God]: God [is] not in all his thoughts.

Do you have some thoughts of God? Or is he in all your thoughts. In the wicked, God is not in all thoughts. That is all Satan needs, to get into your heart a little bit of sin. But Jesus says the devil comes and has nothing in me. There is nothing of Satan. In this spiritual warfare, we need to understand what it is to fight. Then we will know what we need to avoid.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;

We have the carnal nature, and in the flesh our frontal lobe cherishes the things of the flesh.

Romans 8:5 …but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.

Through the brain nerves. In prayer, the frontal lobe is very active. God speaks directly to this part. Satan, via the flesh, speaks to the same part, but he has to come through the flesh. Every man is tempted when drawn away of the devil or his own lust. It has to be something inside of you to draw you away from God. God is trying to occupy your throne, your mind.

Satan comes via the flesh. If we understand how God accesses our hearts and how the devil accesses your heart then we will know how to gain the victory. When we gain the victory you are sealed with the seal of the living God. You are holy his, holy unto the Lord. Christ won the battle and some people believe that that is it and we can be cheered. Is that true?

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

He lost the battle with Christ, had not more access to heaven. Christ won and now the doom is the devil is sealed. Now should we all celebrate on earth? Woe to the inhabitants of the earth. Christ won the battle but we are still in the flesh. The devil has come down, having great power.

Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man [child].

Seeing Satan has lost the battle, he is very angry. He is going to persecute the church of Jesus Christ. The dragon was wrath with the woman and went

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

War against what? Your thoughts. He wants you to think sin. If you will think if, you will do it. If you do it again, it will be your habit. If it is your habit, it will be your character. Here is warfare not against members, or numbers, or cancer. It’s against your thoughts. Do you understand what is involved in this battle? To be sealed in the forehead is to be holy God’s. The sealing hasn’t finished so we are in great danger that we will sin by thought. If you understand the battle by what means it is that Satan is going to come through your flesh to affect your mind and to break down the wall then you will be equipped to meet him.

We should not be ignorant of his devices. If you are serious and you really want security you need that seal. It’s the only guarantee that will get you through. You can do anything else and still be destroyed. We need to know what to shun. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. That is as simple as it is. All Satan has to do is get thoughts in his heart. Then he was won. His means of doing that are different than the means of God. In the creation the frontal lobe was God’s throne. Satan wants to be like the most high. He wants his throne where God’s throne is and then he will be happy.

Amen.
