The True Loud Cry

The loud cry is different to human expectation. And in our efforts to proclaim the word of God with power, we are to consider this:

Bible religion is not to be boastfully paraded, but quietly practiced in good words and works. {VSS 30.3} 

Those that are prudent will be silent in that time. The three Hebrews were silent; they were not boastfully parading, but quietly practicing good words and works. Consider now the nature of this loud cry. Remember, it says, Come out of Babylon, My people. This turns your mind to Babylon in the time of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego – the fiery furnace. Here you have the symbolic picture of the lesson for us today.

Daniel 3:28 [Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed [be] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. 29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Was this a loud cry? Indeed. To whom? To every people, nation, and language which spoke anything amiss against God. The Babylonian empire covered the civilised world; and that civilised world received a loud cry. How? Remember the words in Isaiaih, Arise, shine; thy light is come, and the Gentiles shall come to thy light, the kings. How did King Nebuchadnezzar come to that light? By three men that said nothing. Just put yourself in their shoes in the rabble-rousing mentality of today in Christians. Would you have gone to stand in that great multitude of people without complaint? Would you just quietly go there? You would say, No, I don’t go to stand around an image where music is playing and everybody has to bow. Tthey didn’t say a word. They were silent. They didn’t argue about it. They were there in that great crowd that surrounded that image. And remember, there were other Jews there with them, other so-called believers. Then when the music played, everyone bowed down except those three individuals. Can you appreciate the impact? That was the loud cry. Their silence spoke louder than their attack upon the system. This is what we read in Amos. At that evil time, the prudent are silent.

Remember, the king gave them a second opportunity, and here it was:

The king declared to the three Hebrew youth, if “ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?” {HP 149.3}

Notice how they answered him. They didn’t say, Oh, you heathen king; we don’t agree with this heathen behaviour! They didn’t say anything like that. Mark how they answered.

The youth said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. {Ibid.}

“O Nebuchadnezzar, O king.” What sort of communication is this? Is this respect? They were very respectful. Mark this. When we have to stand in the courts, be very respectful. And in all of our communication about Babylon, don’t vilify anyone, not even the Catholic Church.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. . . .” (Daniel 3:15-19). . . . Those faithful youth were cast into the fire, but God manifested His power for the deliverance of His servants. One like unto the Son of God walked with them in the midst of the flame, and when they were brought forth, not even the smell of fire had passed on them. {Ibid.}

Thus these youth, imbued with the Holy Spirit, declared to the whole nation their faith, that He whom they worshiped was the only true and living God. {HP 149.4}

How did they do it? They were imbued with the Holy Spirit. What is the lead-up to the loud cry? The latter rain. To be imbued with the Holy Spirit is the introduction to the loud cry. And here were these boys; they were imbued with the Holy Spirit, and under the Holy Spirit’s gentle lovingkindness they made their statement.

This demonstration of their own faith was the most eloquent presentation of their principles. {Ibid.}

The most eloquent. The greatest argument in favour of the truth.

In order to impress idolaters with the power and greatness of the living God, His servants must reveal their own reverence for God. They must make it manifest that He is the only object of their honor and worship, and that no consideration, not even the preservation of life itself, can induce them to make the least concession to idolatry. These lessons have a direct and vital bearing upon our experience in these last days. {Ibid.}

So the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is a direct lesson for the people of the loud cry. These lessons have a direct and vital bearing. What is the lesson? What is the specific lesson we are to take from this? Here is the instruction to be God’s true servants today:

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive;

That’s a very plain statement. We do not strive. What are we to be? We are to be gentle.

2 Timothy 2:24 …but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,

Remember, Here is the patience of the saints. And how?

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

When you meet somebody that opposes himself, what do you do? “Oh, come on, mate; wake up.” You usually react in some sort of way like, “You’re being ridiculous here. You’re opposing yourself!” We want to score a point or two against that madness. This is our nature, especially if you think you’re wiser than somebody else. But here we are told that we should in meekness instruct those that oppose themselves;

2 Timothy 2:25 …if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

We read these statements so flippantly, and we don’t pick up what they are really saying. It says the servant of God is not to strive. He is to communicate. Remember it says, Reprove, rebuke … with all long suffering and doctrine. There is nothing of self that must come into the equation. It is meekness. And this is what meekness is:

Meekness

There is a continual waiting upon God and a submission of the will to His. The understanding grasps every divine truth, and the will bows to every divine precept, without doubting or murmuring. True meekness softens and subdues the heart… {RC 264.2}

What does meekness do? It softens and subdues the heart. So when you come up face-to-face with the challenges, you do exactly what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did. You will be respectful in a soft and loving manner. That is meekness.

…and [it] gives the mind a fitness for the engrafted Word. {Ibid.}

If I am meek I am not trying to flaunt my religion; I am actually opening my mind to be fitted to receive the engrafted Word.

It brings the thoughts into obedience to Jesus Christ. It opens the heart to the Word of God, as Lydia’s was opened. It places us with Mary, as learners at the feet of Jesus. “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way” (Psalm 25:9). {Ibid.}

So the servant of God is identified in the loud cry by meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves. You see, it’s a very meek and humbling experience to have to face the darkness of the attack of the enemy and not respond with like antagonism. And wasn’t that Jesus’ example? When He was reviled He reviled not again. The loud cry is the meek and quiet spirit that deals with the opposing factors which, as we have seen in our previous study, will expose God’s people. It will expose the true nature of the true servant of God.

1 Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy [are ye]: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

The reason why people will ask you is because your silence speaks so loudly that they want to know. And they will come and ask you. The kings will ask you questions, as Nebuchadnezzar did. When the three worthies had refused to bow down before the image, they were brought before the king, and they had to answer him, “Sorry, we can’t.” So it says we are to give a reason of the hope that is in us with meekness and fear,

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

As we have seen in the beginning, we will be put into the courts by those who are our enemies, even our own family. And as they falsely accuse, when we stand before the courts and the people are watching us, if we are meek and in the fear of the Lord meet this challenge, they will say, “Oh, there is something very special there; they are depicting the true Christian attitude.”

1 Peter 3:17 For [it is] better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

If you go to court because you’ve stirred up trouble, don’t think that that was a good thing; God is angry with that.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

Now there comes an interesting turn of the message. Jesus was challenged; He did it meekly and quietly. And the spirit in which He did it was the spirit with which he went to preach unto the spirits in prison,

1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Here is a mental exercise that immediately turns us to another very important object lesson of the loud cry. As Jesus suffered quietly and gave the right example, the spirit with which he communicated was the spirit by which He communicated through Noah; because in the days of Noah he went and preached to the spirits that were in prison. Many people put the wrong construction on this – they say that Jesus went to hell to preach to them there in prison. No; these were the people who were imprisoned by Satan in the days of Noah. And Jesus’ spirit was what was manifested by Noah as Noah was preaching. So in connection with meekness and fear the days of Noah are brought to our attention. Now we have another wonderful object lesson – Noah. We had the object lesson of the three worthies; and now we can see another one. How did Noah do it?

Noah’s Example

“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Hebrews 11:7. {PP 95.1}

How did he condemn the world? Did he rant and rave and say, “You cruel, awful people! You are going to be dammed!” Is that how he did it? “You are the papacy! You’re terrible; you’re under the papacy, you’re going to be lost!” Did he say anything like that? No; it says that by the fact that he moved with fear and prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by that action he laid out the loud cry.

While Noah was giving his warning message to the world, his works testified of his sincerity. {Ibid.}

He didn’t have to convince the people that he was sincere; his works testified of his sincerity.

It was thus that his faith was perfected and made evident. He gave the world an example of believing just what God says. All that he possessed, he invested in the ark. {Ibid.}

Think about that. Remember, family, children, houses, lands, everything is made secondary to that which is to be upheld in the cause. This is what Noah did. Imagine it. He had to build an ark, this huge ship; and everything that he had was invested in that. All that he possessed, he invested in the ark.

As he began to construct that immense boat on dry ground, multitudes came from every direction to see the strange sight and to hear the earnest, fervent words of the singular preacher. Every blow struck upon the ark was a witness to the people. {Ibid.}

Everything you do and the words you speak. Not by parading our religion, but by the words and the works quietly being practiced. When someone asks about your faith, the quiet words of conviction, of love, this is the example for the loud cry that the whole world will become condemned by.

Those who have had living faith in the messages of God for the time in which they have lived, and who have acted out their faith in obedience to his commands, have been accepted of God, and have escaped the judgments that were to fall upon the disobedient and unbelieving. The word came to Noah, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me.” Noah obeyed and was saved. The message came to Lot, “Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city.” He placed himself under the guardianship of the heavenly messengers, and was saved. Those who obeyed the warning of Christ in marking the sign of the coming ruin, and in fleeing from Jerusalem, were not involved in her destruction. The message comes in our own time, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen. . . . Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Those who obey this message will escape the terrible plagues that will surely be visited upon her. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 11}

In the days of Noah there was a loud cry to protect the people if they would listen. In the days of Lot, the same thing. In the days of Christ, just before the destruction of Jerusalem, it was a loud cry to protect them from destruction. And the loud cry of today is exactly the same. The parallels are wonderful object lessons for us to see just precisely how we are to go about the loud cry. Now when you discover that this is the nature of the loud cry and you start to think that if you are going to do it that way you’re not making an impact, don’t become so animated by the lack of impact that you think you are not doing the loud cry.

We are living in the last days, and the generation that is to witness the final destruction has not been left without warning of the hastening judgments of God. Says the apostle, “I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. . . . And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 7}

Through the warning that God has sent to the world, an opportunity is given to all to escape the general ruin that is threatened to fallen Babylon. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 8}

So you think, Oh, they’ve got to be warned, they’ve got to be warned! But we already know how it will be done. It’s going to be through the courts.

The whole earth is to be lightened with the glory of this message, and hearts and minds will be prepared by its reception, for the coming of the King of kings. But this gracious message will be as generally rejected by the professed Christian world, as was the message of the Messiah by the Jewish nation. Only a few will receive the testimony of truth, for every influence that Satan can bring to bear against the reception of the truth of God will be employed. {RH, November 5, 1889 par. 8-9}

So here you are trying to warn these people in this godly manner, and you think it’s not making an impact; and Satan is putting all these things and confusing the people’s minds, so I start to become agitated and I start to become enthusiastic in such a way that I start to become reactive. And this is just what Satan wants. All that you are supposed to be doing is, “Come out of her, My people;” and God’s people will not respond to anything else but the gentle Shepherd’s voice. If they are My sheep, Jesus says, My sheep will know My voice. And if we want to be the people of the loud cry, we must give the Shepherd’s voice to God’s people in Babylon. If we come across in any other form, God’s sheep out there will not recognise it. So this message will be generally rejected by the rest of the Christian world. Only the sheep will recognise it.

In these last days the agency of the evil one will be hidden under a cloak of godliness, so that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived. The word of God declares that Satan will work “with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish.” His miracle-working power will be displayed to its utmost. But none who wish to know the truth need be deceived. God has promised to give to his people the Spirit of truth, to guide them into all truth. {Ibid.}

So in our anxiety to warn our loved ones, to warn those who are antagonistic to the message we have, don’t fall for the trappings of Satan. If they are God’s children, in the midst of all the pros and cons and tos and fros that they are being bombarded with, we do not need to enter into the debates like the others do. All we do is stand there like Noah, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; and they will see. They will be going from this argument to that argument, but they will say, These people have got the right atmosphere. They are sheep that will recognise the Shepherd’s voice. This is the loud cry. Noah’s example is the true loud cry. His faith amounted to action.

If our brethren, who profess to believe the truth, would show their faith by their works, they would honor God and be enabled to convince many souls that they have the truth, for according to their faith and their obedience will they realize the fulfillment of the promises of God and be endowed with power from on high. {UL 102.5}

Do we want to give the message in power? It’s a different power than we imagined. It is the power of a people who profess to believe the truth and show their faith by their works. And they will honour God and be enabled to convince many souls that they have the truth because their faith and their obedience will be realised. And God will step in with His power, as He did with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

To souls that are earnestly seeking for light and that accept with gladness every ray of divine illumination from His holy word, to such alone light will be given. {5T 729.2}

Notice how that hinges on what we read about meekness? The person who is meek will open himself to the word of God and will not grumble or murmur about what he is reading there. He will humbly obey. So these are the souls to whom every ray of divine illumination from His holy word will come and be given.

It is through these souls that God will reveal that light and power which will lighten the whole earth with His glory. {Ibid.}

Here is another strong indication that these are a people who are meek and quiet. What are they doing? They are earnestly seeking for light and accept it with gladness. Thus, every ray of divine illumination from His holy word comes to them and they obey it. And it is these souls that will be the instrument of the loud cry. The earth will be covered by that brightness.

Now we look at Apostle Paul’s example. I will really leave no stone unturned so that you can really appreciate that what I’m sharing with you is true.

The Saviour knew that no argument, however logical, would melt hard hearts or break through the crust of worldliness and selfishness. He knew that His disciples must receive the heavenly endowment; that the gospel would be effective only as it was proclaimed by hearts made warm and lips made eloquent by a living knowledge of Him who is the way, the truth, and the life. The work committed to the disciples would require great efficiency; for the tide of evil ran deep and strong against them. {AA 31.1}

This is our condition today.

A vigilant, determined leader was in command of the forces of darkness, and the followers of Christ could battle for the right only through the help that God, by His Spirit, would give them. {Ibid.}

This is exactly what Apostle Paul said. With his great mastermind background of Jewish arguments, being the great Pharisee he was, he could logically argue very powerfully. But he had learnt what we have just read. And we have here his testimony as to how the Lord caused him to win so many at that time:

Determined to Know Nothing but Christ

1 Corinthians 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Today, those people that are preaching are preaching everything but. Or if they preach the surface message of Christ and Him crucified, they will quickly go into the attacks of the false Christian religions around us. The apostle said, I determined to know nothing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. If you are going to study the prophecies that unveil Babylon, you don’t have to concentrate on Babylon. You concentrate on Jesus as He is relating to Babylon. You concentrate on Jesus in the prophecies, and you will discover a totally different course of action. Most people study prophecy to be able to become knowledgeable about the events of the world and the political scene, etc. There are many different people like that – the Christadelphians, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Adventists. They can do it so well; they can tell you the future through prophecy. But there is one thing missing all the way through – the great Prince who is right through those prophecies. Apostle Paul goes on:

1 Corinthians 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Was he meek? He suffered in trembling.

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man’s wisdom [or man’s logic], but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The power of this angel, the power of the loud cry, is here delineated.

The Unstudied Influence of a Sanctified Life

Paul carried with him the atmosphere of heaven. All who associated with him felt the influence of his union with Christ. The fact that his own life exemplified the truth he proclaimed, gave convincing power to his preaching. Here lies the power of truth. The unstudied, unconscious influence of a holy life is the most convincing sermon that can be given in favor of Christianity. {AA 510.2}

Remember what we read in the earlier parts of our study – the strongest argument to convince the world is a loving and lovable Christian. And here this is the most powerful sermon that was preached; it was Apostle Paul’s engagement with the beauty and the power of Jesus Christ. He exerted an unstudied influence. In other words, I’m not studying how I can strategically convince these people.

Argument, even when unanswerable, may provoke only opposition; but a godly example has a power that it is impossible wholly to resist. {Ibid.}

This is the loud cry, the true loud cry. Compare now Revelation 18:1 with Habakkuk 2:14.

Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power;

Can we now appreciate what that means? What is this power? The unstudied, unconscious influence of a sanctified life. That’s the power, great power. There is here a people that are represented by the angel and who have great power,

Revelation 18:1 …and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Just like those three hundred men in Gideon’s time. From all corners of the earth they come with their lights burning. This is the light; this is the power that we have just been identifying – those who are silently, quietly practicing, and living and communicating the atmosphere of heaven.

Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

So the knowledge of the glory of God will be displayed by these people so that everybody knows it. That’s the loud cry.

Who Will God Use?

God can and will use those who have not had a thorough education in the schools of men. {ChS 24.4}

Who will God use? Those who have not had a thorough education in the schools of men.

A doubt of His power to do this, is manifest unbelief; it is limiting the omnipotent power of the One with whom nothing is impossible. O for less of this uncalled-for, distrustful caution! It leaves so many forces of the church unused; it closes up the way, so that the Holy Spirit cannot use men; it keeps in idleness those who are willing and anxious to labor in Christ’s lines; it discourages from entering the work many who would become efficient laborers together with God, if they were given a fair chance. {Ibid.}

I love it when the beautiful truth is communicated to the church members and they go forward with enthusiasm; but they may not be working along the lines that the leaders of the church want them to, so these men squash it, and God’s wonderful power is hindered. Because these people, in an unstudied way, can be very powerful. The Holy Spirit is to use men, and we are not to interfere with that.

It is the privilege of every soul to make advancement. Those who are connected with Christ will grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Son of God, to the full stature of men and women. If all who claim to believe the truth had made the most of their ability and opportunities to learn and to do, they would have become strong in Christ. Whatever their occupation,–whether they were farmers, mechanics, teachers, or pastors,–if they had wholly consecrated themselves to God, they would have become efficient workers for the heavenly Master. {ChS 25.1}

We as a whole company, whatever we are, mechanics, farmers, bricklayers, the work goes on. And it happens to be done in a way very much out of the common order of things. This is God’s loud cry principle.

Not all the books written can serve the purpose of a holy life. {ChS 26.1}

There is no end to the making and writing of spiritual books even today. It’s just one addition after the other and after the other. All that we think might be useful; but not all the books written can serve the purpose of a holy life.

Men will believe, not what the minister preaches, but what the church lives. {Ibid.}

That’s the loud cry.

Too often the influence of the sermon preached from the pulpit is counteracted by the sermon preached in the lives of those who claim to be advocates of truth. {Ibid.}

The very opposite to what the sermon was meant to be impacting.

The life of Christ was an ever-widening, shoreless influence, an influence that bound Him to God and to the whole human family. Through Christ, God has invested man with an influence that makes it impossible for him to live to himself. Individually we are connected with our fellow men, a part of God’s great whole, and we stand under mutual obligations. No man can be independent of his fellow men; for the well-being of each affects others. It is God’s purpose that each shall feel himself necessary to others’ welfare, and seek to promote their happiness. {ChS 26.3}

This is a kind of ministry which has power to gather together God’s true people. I remember as a youth who loved my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, when I heard the arguments of debate, it froze my spirituality. But when I heard the beautiful interchange of brethren and sisters who loved the message, it drew me to them. And I know that is the case with every child of God. This is the characteristic of the loud cry, this kind of manifestation.

Not so Much by Argument

This is talking about the loud cry message:

The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God. The arguments have been presented. The seed has been sown, and now it will spring up and bear fruit. The publications distributed by missionary workers have exerted their influence, yet many whose minds were impressed have been prevented from fully comprehending the truth or from yielding obedience. Now the rays of light penetrate everywhere, the truth is seen in its clearness, and the honest children of God sever the bands which have held them. Family connections, church relations, are powerless to stay them now. Truth is more precious than all besides. Notwithstanding the agencies combined against the truth, a large number take their stand upon the Lord’s side. {GC 612.2}

That is the reality today. Don’t the people have their books? Haven’t the missionaries gone out over the years? You can go to shops today where the Adventist books that were sent out by the colporteurs are now being sold. The people have read them and thought they didn’t need them anymore. When all this has been done, then when the loud cry comes, those things that they have read will come flashing back to their minds, because they see it in a people. And they will say, “Yes, l have already loved the Lord, and I want to follow Him; I’ve just been bewildered by all the doctrinal arguments that are confusing me, but now I know where to be.”

Therefore, as we understand this principle, what is to be our primary focus in preparation for the loud cry? If we desire to be the people of the loud cry, because the Lord is burning in our hearts with His wonderful truth, this is our primary focus:

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Remember to whom God will look? Those that tremble at His word.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

This is meekness. Do all things without murmurings and disputings. Why?

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Isn’t this a tremendous summary of our duty? If I want to shine, if I want to let the glory of God shine in the darkness, what must I do? My focus is to get my life into total harmony with everything that God has demonstrated to us in His word. And I am to do that without murmuring and disputing. That’s what people do. “Oh, do I really have to do this?” Maybe we start reasoning around it because “it doesn’t look important to me.” But the Bible says it. We are to live by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth; to live by it. So don’t murmur, don’t dispute. Exercise the meek and humble spirit of Jesus that He is working in you. Then you will be blameless and harmless, and you will shine as lights in the world that is in gross darkness, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

Our conscience must be purged from dead works to serve the living God. Sanctification means perfect love, perfect obedience, entire conformity to the will of God. If our lives are conformed to the life of Christ through the sanctification of mind, soul, and body, our example will have a powerful influence on the world. {UL 99.2}

May God help us to do the things that will be the loud cry. This is what it’s about. And if we will press together and help each other that way, God will bring movements about to expose us. We don’t have to expose ourselves. This is not an exposé society. This is a society of Jesus Christ that we want to be part of. And it must be manifest, so that when we are brought to the attention we will only expose Jesus Christ. May God help us to this end.
