Unity in the Cause of Elijah

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

God will give this planet the spirit of Elijah.  We examine it was not Elijah himself, but the Elijah people who shall see the coming of the son of man.  was Jesus standing with two men one on each side.  Who were they?  Moses and Elijah.  Did that not mean the coming of Jesus with his saints? Moses represents those who died in the faith.  Elijah represents the 144,000, the people that will be alive at his coming.  Does Moses represent the Elijah people also?  Yes.

Everything we have studied hails back to everything in the beginning, the old paths.  The Elijah people who are proclaiming the old paths, is it not the same as the beginning where you see Jacob, Abraham and Moses?  All the different historical events speak of the message of Elijah.  Whether the people are represented by Moses or Elijah what do they all represent by the messages that Elijah represents?  The people of Elijah are all the faithful people.  They have given the messages to the world.

Now we are represented.  Now we have a message for the people for the second advent.  Elijah represents you and me as a community.  He represents the people who will be alive when Jesus comes.  If he represents us, what does that automatically mean to you and me as a community?  The theme of our subject is unity.  We are represented by one man together with Jesus. We are to be one man before the world although we are many.  We are to ponder upon this.  The message that we are called upon to proclaim is identified here;

Revelation 18:1. And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

We are to arise and shine.  The earth is lightened with his glory – the people of Elijah, the last people of God standing just before the closing of the earths history.  The coming of Jesus is identified in Revelation 18 speaking of the three angel’s messages and the other angel;

The angels are represented as flying in the midst of heaven, proclaiming to the world a message of warning, and having a direct bearing upon the people living in the last days of this earth’s history. No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God who are working in harmony with the universe of heaven. Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through the truth, proclaim the three messages in their order.  {2SM 387.1}

The Elijah people work in harmony with the universe of heaven.  According to that we have a challenge and a call to do this work as one man, the Elijah.

Of Babylon, at the time brought to view in this prophecy, it is declared, Her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. [REV. 18:5.] She has filled up the measure of her guilt, and destruction is about to fall upon her. But God still has a people in Babylon; and before the visitation of his judgments, these faithful ones must be called out, that they partake not of her sins, and receive not of her plagues. Hence the movement symbolized by the angel coming down from Heaven, lightening the earth with his glory, and crying mightily with a strong voice, announcing the sins of Babylon. In connection with his message the call is heard, Come out of her, my people. These announcements, uniting with the third angel’s message, constitute the final warning to be given to the inhabitants of the earth.  {GC88 604.1}

When I first came across these messages and understanding, I responded as someone I shared it later with, no mucking around.  There is no room for idleness.  This is a life and death call.  How long has this life and death call been given and where are we today?  Everything I learnt over the years, I took deadly serious.  The reason why I am here is because I take everything that is to be taken as it’s meant to.  It’s my yearning to have a people in unity and earnest desire to be in harmony with these things.

I laboured for years and I was bereft.  I arrived in a city once, this beautiful message warmed the hearts of the people.  We had a beautiful crystal vase and it was suddenly smashed and it didn’t come to anything.  This beautiful thing I was doing bringing people into beautiful truths, strict obedience of love and faith.  There, under the trees as I was working as a gardener, Lord, where, what are we are going to do?  God said, find out from the other group, what they believe on the subject on the Atonement.  In consequence I see wonderful potential.  I see again what I saw in the other church but it smashed.  I see the unwillingness of some people and some, a devotion of intense earnestness.  Here is another precious opportunity for us to take the Lord seriously and respond to the messages of the three angels and the other angel.  They are very broad.

We will now explore the angel, the movement with its final call.  The people of God working in harmony with the universe of heaven, men and women enlightened by the spirit and sanctified by the truth.  The movement that gives the final warning to the inhabitants of the world.

The angel of Revelation 18 comes with great power and the earth was lightened with his glory.  How can the earth be lightened with Gods glory?  The glory of the Lord will be seen upon you.  Will it be heard?  No, it will be seen for glory and for beauty and holiness.  In the sanctuary, the clothing of the priests, that’s glory.  So many aspects, the glory of the health message, so we can be healthy and happy.

Every detail, the company in the light are alive with singing and with lights calling the other virgins that are still asleep to join the bridal procession and the glory that is to be seen because they are in harmony with the universe of heaven.  Look at the glory of the universe in heaven.  Each one of us needs to come into harmony.  Where there is disharmony that is not the universe of heaven.  That power that this angel is written here of, having great power, what is the power?  Many people think its great big powerful public meetings.  They imagine it to be that.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Have you experienced the power of the righteousness by faith message?  How the power of Jesus being one with me, the divine combined with the human dies with me and rises again.  The people who have that gospel in living reality are the angel.  In my experience there are very few who really are on fire with that experience.  There are a lot of people on fire doing the external things.  There are some people on fire with emotional Christianity, but very few who have that real fire.  There is not one in 100 who know by experience who knows the righteousness by faith experience.

I have searched for souls who have embraced for this beautiful message.  Lots of people talk about it and many people say yes, that’s what our movement stands on.  The SDARM 51 movement made a profession of that.  I said sorry, that was not the movement that stands on that as they rejected it.

If I reject that Jesus Christ came in sinful flesh, then I am not the 1888 message.  That was the message of 1888 that Jesus came in sinful flesh and how it applies to my salvation.  This is the power that changes lives.

When a soul who is full of self becomes crushed and all of self is broken to pieces and there is a restoration through the beautiful story of Christ and righteousness. When people walk in a broken and contrite spirit and demonstrate the life in obedience, you’ve got the Revelation 18 people.

As we have the messages of Elijah, the philosophy of the story of Jesus, so profound, it equates with any manifestation with Gods power.  Go and stand beside the ocean with its roaring waves, the word says thus come so far and no further.  As you look out into space and you see the governing forces of the cosmos that is the power of God, as you hear the hurricane and tornado –  that is the power of God.  Jesus Christ in you the hope of glory is the power of God.

Nothing is apparently more helpless, yet really more invincible, than the soul that feels its nothingness and relies wholly on the merits of the Saviour. God would send every angel in heaven to the aid of such a one, rather than allow him to be overcome. {7T 17.2}

Invincible?  Isn’t that a powerful word?  The human powers think they are invincible.  The soul who feels its nothingness and relies wholly on the merits of the saviour – that soul is invincible.  Why is he invincible?  Because now he is in harmony with the universe of heaven.  God would send every angel in heaven to such a one.  Do you take it seriously?  I take it very seriously.  This is Gods word to me.  I’m not invincible but God says I am if I am empty of self.

While I think I can do something and someone tells me its one way and I disagree, that is self.  I am often challenged to justify what I believe.  The Lord says leave it to me, you’re nothing.  Do you like that idea?  Some people don’t, some people want to prove themselves.  You can only rely on the revelations of Gods word and Gods wisdom.  It takes a while to come to that.  This is the power of Revelation 18.

Ten members, who were walking in all humbleness of mind, would have a far greater power upon the world than has the entire church, with its present numbers and lack of unity. The more there is of the divided, inharmonious element, the less power will the church have for good in the world.  {5T 119.1}

How many members does it take?  Ten!  They would have if in all humbleness of mind, far greater power on the world.  How many men did it take to affect the entire Babylon world?  It is the combination of the man with Jesus that has the power to affect the whole world.  If you don’t know how, don’t worry, you’ll discover it when the day comes and you’re part of the Elijah people, small in number as it may seem.  Also when we are in tune with this invincible condition, you’ll see it.  We often tell God we think it’s going to happen a certain way.  Don’t put down the conditions to God.  When you read the bible, every single one of us, reads it from our own perspective.  If you have a perspective from how you read the bible, it’s wrong.  You’ll be most surprised that the way God wrote it is how you read it. Take God at his word and what he means.  Self is totally gone.  Its total resignation upon Gods word and its influence on your life.

If you put those together invincible individuals as a whole team, in unity there is strength.  Sr White explains a tiny little cord all bound together.  Each one of us are tiny little strands are invincible.  If you put them altogether, this unity confuses, it paralysis, that’s why the people of the world make confederations, political parties, unions, world wide unification.  The power of unity is in a different order to that.

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

To me it’s a never ending thrill to read these words.

Infusion, amalgamation of one in Jesus.  Emerging our entire company as one.  Speaking with one voice.  Do you desire that experience?  I thank God there is power in the unity of our message.
