Loving Christ in His Saints

Relationships in the last days are with people that are back slidden, fallen and sinful and we are to go out to them in love. The heart and love of Christ is the spring of all relationships. To have love, to be loved, to be loving. What relationship is it that has not love? It’s not a very nice relationship. What is love? Love is something that the human heart longs for. When it thinks it finds it rejoices and opens the heart to all the emotions of love but if it’s not the true love that heart can be cut with the deepest wounds known the man. Love, something that is so delicate, one word and it is gone. One negativity and it disappears out of your heart. Yet love is so strong, so powerful that it doesn’t compare with the elements. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Nothing. Not height, depth nor death can separate us from the love of God. What is it? It’s kind, indeed it is. Kindness alone is not love. Love is kind, love is patient, and love is long suffering. What is love? The kingdom of love, Jesus came to earth from the kingdom of earth to love.

Luke 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. 20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Jesus was wondering how can I explain what heaven is like? Love is like a seed that is planted and grows and becomes so big and great. Then after he says that, he comes back to the question, what shall I really liken it to?

Human Love

The highest expression of human love was given in the symbol of marriage.

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

This is the highest symbol of God’s love that he could give to man. That he could make two individuals one, male and female in love. In a relationship that should teach man what God is all about. Love. This marriage took a human, earthly path. The woman did not love properly because love thinketh no evil. As she stood in front of the tree she listened to the servant and thought evil. Then she took it to her husband and the husband ate. Then God asked what have you done? Adam said the woman that you gave me gave it to me and I did eat. Is that love to blame someone else? The symbol didn’t add up to the perfect reality of heaven. The woman that came out of Adam that was bone of his bone failed in true love. God still uses the love of marriage as a symbol of Christ and his work on earth. Ezekiel 16 is an example of his bride he came to marry. When Eve sinned they sold out and had to die. The wages of sin is death. The only way that this earth could be restored was by the creator’s power again to bring life.

Ezekiel 16:4 And [as for] thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple [thee]; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. 5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the loathing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born. 6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live. 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: [thy] breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou [wast] naked and bare. 8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Here we have a woman, Gods church, people the sons and daughters and they sinned. They died. When God passed by he saw and said live and caused life to come back to humanity to give humanity a second chance of love but he said this time, I will marry you and be your husband. The second Adam. The second Adam was to have a wife, the church.

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven. 48 As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

The last Adam had power to bring life again. The woman had died in the blood. As Jesus walked past he said live and he caused her to grow and become mature. When she was mature he married her. There was an earthly love in the marriage of Adam and Eve and even it failed. Any one of us that has earthly love will fail. True love faileth not. The second Adam, Jesus Christ came to give life to his bride which is true love and heavenly. What shall I liken the kingdom of heaven to? How shall I show the people of earth what love really is? God is love. How can you be earthly and have God? Isn’t God heavenly? Here was a transaction made. What can break a covenant of marriage? Death. Till death do us part. Adam and Eve died . She was dead and Jesus said live, I need to have a wife. How did he make his bride live? How did Jesus bring life to his bride? Jesus was on the cross dying.

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Was he alive then? He’d already died so a soldier got a spear and pushed a hole into his side. What came out? Water and blood.

John 19:35 And he that saw [it] bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

When Eve was created, Adam had to be put to sleep. God went to Adam and opened his side and took a rib. But now Jesus Christ died, he slept. As he died, his side was opened. Out came the spiritual ingredients for the woman to be alive, blood and water. Talking of the blood of bulls and goats, how much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscious from dead works to serve the living God? We have a deadness about us that cannot produce a love to anybody. The blood is to purge our conscious to transform us as Gods people so we can love. We can have the ability to love somebody. This is how we become alive out of the side of Jesus Christ while he was dead.

His wife came forth flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones so the kingdom of heaven could demonstrate what love is all about. This is the mystery because this is what we read about the first and second Adam as he said I will show you a mystery. Love is a mystery which is why the people of the world are bowled over by it. They love and hate it. When a teenage grows up he thinks love is quite good and then finds it a bitter cup. There is a mystery that needs to be revealed. The words we are reading are to make our minds alive in our study.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

As Adam loved Eve? No we want heavenly love.

Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

What two things came out of Christ’s side? The blood that purges your conscience and makes you alive and the water that washes you clean. These two elements came out of the side of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The Mystery of Love and Marriage

Marriage is a mystery. Here the mystery, this great mystery is to be understood through Christ and his church. What does this have to do with relationships in the last days? Hasn’t this been a relationship always? Hasn’t God sought for this bride to be alive in every era? Now bring this message to the time and place of today.

Colossians 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for] them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

Today in the time of Laodicea and the people of the judgement we need to acknowledge the mystery of love. The people in Laodicea can have their hearts knit together. The people in the time of Philadelphia, the name describes them, brotherly love. But now Paul is seeing a conflict in Laodicea, they have love and acknowledge the mystery of love. Here Paul has a message for our period of time. We are to acknowledge this mystery of love.

Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:

There is a dispensation of times. This earth’s history was given that at the end of that time, Christ would gather the Jews and gentiles, so that the people who love his appearing and his commandments can be knit together and gather all things in one, not just here in earth and bind them in heaven, hHe wants us to be married in heaven.

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

We are living in this period of time, it should be finished. The people from two different countries can love each other. That someone from the Middle East can love someone in the western world. That someone in Eastern Europe can love someone in the western world. Someone in heaven can love someone on earth and someone on earth love someone in heaven. This mystery is to be completed. This love is to be seen so that Christ’s people can dwell together in love and to acknowledge this mystery. What is this mystery exactly?

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Jesus Christ has taken the Godhead. Heaven itself is in Christ and he wants to dwell within you and me so we can love. If Christ does not dwell in you, you cannot love, you are earthly. This is the mystery that they become one flesh. There is a unity with Christ and his people. Marriage is to have the mutual love. This is the mystery. This is now time to be completed. The bride, the church which not one person only is Gods church. Not one person only is married to Christ but we are members of the body and the whole, all of us together, the whole make up his bride. He is the husband of all of us. Because he is our husband, it says wives submit yourselves to your husbands as unto the Lord. Jesus is now our husband and he gives us a commandment. That ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another as by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples. This is the voice of our husband. Our husband is telling us love for one another.

If you love one another, everyone will know that you are my bride. Love, a new commandment, it’s not a new commandment, it’s a new depth to love. Because you have heard it said of old love thy neighbour and hate your enemy. That is human love. But Christ is saying a new commandment, a new dimension of love. Love that does not depend on something to provoke it like the husband coming home with flowers. Oh now you have brought these flowers thank you I love you. We are still dealing with human love if we do this. The love that does not depend on something to keep it going. It does not depend on favourable attributes of another. I love my wife because she is this and that and has that characteristic. Indeed she’s beautiful she’s my love.

Christ saw this baby in blood. No one dressed her and loved her, she was thrown into the open field to die and Christ said look and live. Adam loved his wife, she was beautiful. It was a different love. Christ loves us not because we were beautiful. While we had irritating characteristics he loved us. At that time Christ love us. It did not depend on any positive attributes of our characters. Jesus will love you no matter where you come from. Those things that come from his sides, he will make you a glorious church. He loved you before you were beautiful. Love is not attracted by beautiful qualities.

Do we have that love to one another? Do you love those at church that love you? This is not brotherly love, this is human love. We don’t love each other because we do certain things and have certain traits. You love one another as I have loved you. It continues that the worldly love is revealed that if the world hate you, you know that it hated Jesus before. If you are of the love of the world, the world will love you. Do you love your husband because he just helped you out? And then when he doesn’t help you don’t love anymore? Do we love people because of a reason? We need a new depth. This depth only comes by the mystery revealed in your life. Christ in you, the source of love, Christ in you the hope of glory.

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

It’s a mystery and the world can’t even comprehend it unless Christ gives you the ability to understand. Do you have trouble loving somebody? Get to know Jesus better. Don’t try and love them by force, people say love the brotherhood. Love Jesus Christ and you will love them. Seek to have love in your heart at all times. If we can love Christ as he loved us, we can love all. If we can love all, we can love Christ because he said when I was hungry you gave me food to drink and when I was in prison you visited me. When did we visit you in prison they say, you have done to my brethren, you have done it to me.

Are we selfish enough to think I’m the only one with Jesus in my life? Jesus lights everyman that came into this world. Christ in dwells in all his people fully. We can love Christ in the person of his saints. We can love you because Christ is there, because he is here. The Christ in one person cannot fight with the Christ in another, it’s impossible. The Christ in one doesn’t get irritated with another Christ. Christ dwells in the person that receives him and all his ways.

Matthew 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold [water] only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Just the little ones, the little children, Jesus Christ lit their lives. Jesus Christ activates their heart beat. Sin is marring all of us but what we do to the little ones we do unto Christ. Christ became little to give us the chance to become great. A man who has a wife, if someone hurts the wife, It’s almost more painful that if he hurt himself. If someone wanted to come and attack, the husband would feel more pain if the wife was attacked in front of him. He would say do it to me instead. Jesus Christ when his people are dealt with kindly, he receives that as himself, you have dealt kindly to me. This is the love. To receive Jesus Christ in his love, we are members of his body.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 12 Not as Cain, [who] was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

Do you get frustrated when someone tries to be good? He’s being good, they are showing me up. You’re being a goody, goody. Cain had that problem with his brother on the Sabbath day. Cain didn’t see it the same way and brought his own works. Here were two religious brothers were worshipping God. One hated his brother and he killed him. In doing so, he killed Christ. What line are you in? Do you want to follow God all the way or do you get irritated by people who want to follow God all the way? In church capacity there are two classes. It says the class of Cain and Abel will be in the church till the end. There will be two classes. Those of the evil one and those of God. They are both religious but one doesn’t want to follow God all the way.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

There are antichrists. What is anti? Against. People that are against Christ. Where did these people who were against Christ come from? They went out from us. This is the church that John is writing to. These antichrist came from the church.

1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Not everyone that says Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but he that doth the will of my father. To name the name of Christ alone, to say I am a Christian doesn’t mean you’re not antichrist. There is an antichrist but the scripture says there are many antichrists. People that are opposed to Jesus Christ but they have the name and they push the brethren out. It says he that loveth not his brother is not of God.

If you can’t love Christ in his people, then what are you doing? If I say to Christ I love you, but you’re bride, she can go. I will just spend time with you. But the husband says no, if you love me you have my wife also, we are one, we do not separate, we have true love, no one will separate us, and Satan won’t get in. What you do to my bride you are doing unto me. The scripture says he that toucheth you touches the apple of my eye.

Zechariah 2:8 for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

He that touches you touches what? His bicep? The strength of a man? No the delicate part of a man. If you touch my people you are touching my eye, a sensitive thing. If you touch the eye, it keeps winking because you don’t want it getting touched. How do you treat Gods eye, his people? Are you like Cain that gets upset and offended at Gods requirements when they are shared. Do you get offended and hurt by it? The bible says that he that touches you touches me. How do we treat our brothers and sisters? When you see a brother sin, do you jot it down? I’m going to remember this sin so that when they try and correct me one day, I can say you did this and you did that. How do we treat Gods people?

A Sin Not unto Death

1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin [which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

A sin that is not unto death is something that is not a rejection of Christ. There are two sins that are unforgiveable. Where you murder Christ afresh like Cain did to get rid of him, or where you lie against the Holy Ghost, blasphemy. All other manner of sins can be forgiven, they are not unto eternal death if you have Jesus Christ. But if you get rid of Christ, how can you be forgiven? You can’t. We are talking about sins that can be forgiven, mistakes. Any sin where someone loves Christ but wants to reform their life and change, still wants to take the path and still walking but has sinned as tragic as it may be. Look at the sin of David, he didn’t sin a sin unto death but he did some tragic sins.

1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin [which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

If you see your brother sin, you can pray to God for them.

Job 16:21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man [pleadeth] for his neighbour!

If you see a brother sin, do you plead for them in your closet? First we plead for them in the closet. It hurts us as we’re bone of each other. Lord, forgive us, or do you capitalise on peoples mistakes? Even in the family, do the husband and wife capitalise on the sins of each other? This is the real test time in the home but also in the church where we have familiar interaction where we will see a sin but we will plead for God. Can you plead for another mans sin that is your brother? There is a service called foot washing. The act of foot washing is a symbol. We have been baptised, the whole body is clean with water. We have become part of his bride. This is how God has acted in every generation. We have been cleaned.

John 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

There is a part of the body that does get dirty, your body is clean but as you are walking on the path of life, the dust gets on your feet. As we are on the path of Christian development we make mistakes. Rejoice not against me oh my enemy, when I sit in darkness the Lord shall help me. Since our baptism, have we been faultless? Everyone of us have dirtied our feet. Jesus has given us life and he can clean our feet. If any man sin, we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ. We have an avenue in which way to be clean where we dirtied our feet. We have been washed, we are born again but we haven’t reached the full maturity to come into heaven. A sin of a brother that you see, can you pray for them? Can ask God to forgive them?

John 13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

There was an element that hated Christs reproof. When it came to righteousness, Judas didn’t like it. He was chaffing at the bit the whole time quietly, he didn’t like it. Not all the disciples were clean, there was one who was a devil.

John 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

He’s washed the disciples feet and he says do you know what I’ve just done to you? You’re already clean but I’ve had to clean your feet. Do you know what you’ve done?

John 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am. 14 If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

You want happiness in your life? Do you want love? Is love happiness? Heavenly love is happiness but earthly love isn’t very happy. It fails every time. Jesus washed their feet so who then was to wash one another’s feet? The disciples were to wash one another’s feet. Judas didn’t like it to wash another persons feet in attitude. You can do the form, wash the feet but I don’t like the brother. We can do the form of foot washing but unless we do the reality it does nothing. We can do the reality. We can do it. Judas when he refused and saw the foot washing experience, it was the last straw.

John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

Satan entered into Judas and it was impossible for Judas to wash the feet in attitude. Impossible. He was a child of the devil. Like Jesus says to the Pharisees, you are of your father the devil, his works you will do. In Lucifer, Satan there is no love. He has power he has light, he can present himself as an angel of light but he cannot give you light. Everyone that receives Christ gets chaffed at the truth. Satan will enter that person who has had enough and he’ll betray his brethren. Those people will never have unity. Is Christ divided? Can Satan and Christ come together in unity? There are a people on earth that come together to answer the prayer of Jesus and wash one another’s feet.

John 12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Brotherly love is like the oil that ran down the beard of Aaron and that is brotherly love. Here are one of the members of his bride, this lady [Mary], took the ointment of brotherly love and washed Jesus feet and the odour filled the room. What do you do when you see a brother sin? Do you wash his feet in your mind, do you go to God and say please, I want this brother cleansed. Why is it that the disciples are to wash the feet? Can’t Christ wash our feet for us? He did it to the disciples to start a ceremony, couldn’t Christ continue it? No he said you are to wash one another’s feet. You are to forgive your brother you are to wipe the dirt gathered on the pathway of life. Husbands are to forgive their wives for their mistakes. Mothers are to forgive their children for their mistakes. Christ is in each one of us. Let us not jot down the facts and figures of each others history, the power of the past is deadly. Let us wipe it away. Let us wash one another’s feet.

All ye are brethren. As brothers we are identical with Christ. But you’ve sinned, Christ doesn’t sin. Who took your sin? Christ took your sin, your sin Jesus bore in his body and he died with that sin. He gathered it to him and took it as his own with all its liabilities just to give us his enabling. All ye are brethren. We are identical with Christ although we make mistakes. Though we are of a different race, colour, different habits. Forgive them, don’t hold it against them.

Through his grace we are identical with one another. We’re identical. As we wash the feet of Christ’s followers, it is as though we are indeed touching the son of God, the apple of his eye. Are you going to condemn his eye? His eye has sinned. Christ said well I’ll die. You can’t accuse my people. I am their advocate in heaven. If any man sin, you have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous, it is washed away, you are clean. If any man sees a sin that is not unto death pray for him. Ask for life that it may be given.

The End Times

There are a people on earth, only one people, Gods people that can wash one another’s feet. If you can’t wash one another’s feet, go back to the cross. Ask Jesus to come into your heart because if you can’t love your brother, you can’t love Christ. While we were in this condition Christ did die for us. We can say give me your love. I’m tired of this earthly love. I’m tired of this earthly love and being married to the first Adam. I want to die and be released from this marriage. Till death do us part, I’m ready to die. Be dead to the old way of self your old way of life and be risen again with Christ your new husband.  The 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. Jonathan and David were knit together. David said I love Jonathan more than the love of a woman. That is a heavenly love that surpasses the love of this earth.

The 144,000 were all sealed, and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, “God, New Jerusalem,” and a glorious star containing Jesus’ new name. At our happy, holy state the wicked were enraged, and would rush violently up to lay hands on us to thrust us into prison, when we would stretch forth the hand in the name of the Lord, and they would fall helpless to the ground. Then it was that the synagogue of Satan knew that God had loved us who could wash one another’s feet, and salute the brethren with a holy kiss, and they worshiped at our feet. {CET 58.2}

Only those who have Jesus Christ in their heart can actually wash feet in attitude. Forgive your brothers and sisters. Let not the sun go down on your wrath. Have your problems solved before the Sabbath day so you can enjoy your rest. Happy are ye if you do this. You can enjoy the rest that God has given each one of us. Happy are ye if you do this. Let all problems go between brethren. Purpose to pray for them, wash their feet in your minds any time you see them. Love them as Christ has loved you. This is the commandment.  Can you love one another not because they’re special to you and done things, but because Christ has loved them? It doesn’t matter anymore, the problems are gone.
