God’s Voice in His Word

By Paul Godfrey, Audio: mp3

I’m going to take something for granted tonight and that is that you all want to fine tune into God’s Voice. I’m assuming that is why we are here. If we want to fine tune into God’s voice, we need to make some adjustments, adjust the tuning knob so that we can get a stable communication from God to us. One of those adjustments that you can make is turn off your mobile phone. If your mobile phone is on, you can turn it off, it’s an easy adjustment. This will help you to tune in to what God is saying. Some other adjustments you can make are; Get some good nights sleep. If we are tempted to talk too late, remember that we’re defeating the purpose of being here. We need to have good sleep to be able to tune into what God is saying.

Today subject is in regard to God’s voice in the written word, the Bible. I don’t feel that I need to convince people that God speaks through the Bible. We understand that the Bible’s called the word of God and when you speak you generally use words. But, if you want to fine tune, (this is fine tuning, we’re talking about) into God’s voice through the written word then another adjustment you can make to fine tune your ability to understand God’s word, is stop watching television. You can’t expect to get the same stimulus out of a black and white page, as you do out of the media that is so rampant around today. If that is what our mind is fed upon then when we come to the Bible we will find it difficult to really hone in to the words of Christ and allow them to become livings. So, if you’re interested in fine-tuning into the written word, God’s speaking through the written word, then stop watching television and anything that is acquainted with that whether it will be theater or all those sorts of things. God Speaks by His Ministers

By Camron Schofield, Audio: mp3

I would like to commence with a single verse description of the world in which we live:

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Does that not describe the world we live in today? Not only is it full of sin, transgression and iniquity; but also full of hard-heartedness and self-centeredness and not caring about anybody else but self. This is Christ’s description of today.

I would like to ask you what the cause is. What is it that has caused iniquity to abound and the love of many to wax cold? Preceding this verse Jesus tells us exactly what it is:

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Read the rest of this entry

06 Calamities – Gods Plaintive Voice

By Camron Schofield, Camp Woody 2012. Fine Tuning Into Gods Voice. Audio: mp3

The communication of God’s character is so deformed and very much rampant in the world today.

In my mind the justice of God eclipsed His mercy and love. The mental anguish I passed through at this time was very great. I had been taught to believe in an eternally burning hell; and as I thought of the wretched state of the sinner without God, without hope, I was in deep despair. I feared that I should be lost, and that I should live throughout eternity suffering a living death. The horrifying thought was ever before me, that my sins were too great to be forgiven, and that I should be forever lost. {LS 29.3} Read the rest of this entry

Can You Hear the Music?

By Camron Schofield Audio: mp3

I appreciate the words of the hymn ‘Angel’s Voices Ever Singing’. It tells me that God likes music.

“Craftsman’s art and music’s measure, for thy pleasure didst design.”

God created music because He likes music. Do you like music? Do you think that God likes to sing to music? Would you like to hear God sing? I would love to hear God sing. We are learning to fine tune into the voice of God.

God’s Orchestra

I want to look at Gods orchestra and the orchestra that He sings to. God has several different types of orchestras and we know that an orchestra is something that consists of a multitude of instruments and each instrument is played and produces a certain note, tone and sound and they combine to produce a symphony. God is the master conductor. As we look through history, we see God conducting His orchestra. We see nations rise and fall according to His music and orchestration according to what they would call His arrangement. Read the rest of this entry
