Cry Aloud, Show My People Their Transgression
Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
In my experience I have come across this verse many times and seen in it a personal calling of great duty toward my fellow men. The unfortunate thing however is that it has taken me some time to really comprehend its valuable meaning and practical application. I am naturally a man that loves to debate. To match wit against wit and prove that which I hold to be true. It has been my upbringing; my scholarly mind when challenged rises to that challenge and with voice or pen is able to present logical reasons for what I am defending with evidence to back up the viewpoint. When it comes to the truth, I have unfortunately many a time approached the Isaiah 58:1 calling with the same scholarly zeal. This especially is the case on Facebook. I have many a time seen postings and thought to myself, no that isn’t right I need to correct this. I need to lift up my voice and show the people their transgression. In one instance I can remember discussing the ‘Nature of Christ’ and the hours I spent in finding quotes to support my stand. What had begun as an open question, 600 comments later I had found to be in the exact same position as when it started. Read the rest of this entry

The only way to be secure in this world is to receive the seal of the living God. To have holiness, the name of the Lord imprinted on your character that He would be all and in all and He would be to you everything. This is the security that the Bible tells us will last that will not be destroyed. Satan knows that so he has made war and his war has been in these last days to use sorcery to deceive all nations. That sorcery, those chemicals that he has employed are catalysts to release chemicals in your body to infiltrate your heart so he can put his mark on your forehead. This method being used today is just a refinement of a method that was used a long time ago. The method used today is through the apostate religious movements. These spirits go forth to prepare people for the destruction of the world. This affects every single person on this planet, you can’t avoid it. Read the rest of this entry

Of all the things that God could have said in the first sentence of the Bible, I believe there could be none more important. Right here we are told three major things. Who created the earth, His authority and position as creator and His dominion which is the heaven and the earth. This verse which is read quite frequently is thrown about left and right by Christians. There are many, many verses that speak of the creation of this world. I’d like to turn to one well-known verse in Exodus. A lot it said in the Bible about God’s activity at the beginning of earth’s history. In this study I will look at health, 21st century dress reform, evangelism and preparation for the second coming of Jesus and at the issue of short skirts and their relationship to health, modesty and evangelism. I will begin this presentation looking at the issue of short skirts from the aspect of health. Then I will look at the issue of short skirts in the context of the Bible and history. Finally I will close this look at short skirts by looking at the effect that this type of clothing has on our efforts to effectively reach a lost world with the message of the eminent return of Jesus. Finally, I’m going to be presenting information and facts that I have found in my studies of the Bible, Spirit of Prophecy and history and sometimes science. I will be giving very broad principles. We must all go to Jesus and lay our clothing out before Him. Pray for His Spirit to give that wisdom to dress right in this degenerate age. By God’s grace by the end of this presentation you will have some principles that will make choosing what to wear, what needs to be fixed and what has to be tossed a lot easier. The Abnormality of Normality Part 1

I have a question I want to ask. Are you normal? We think we’re normal and everyone else is a bit weird. Although intelligently we are all a little weird we act as if we are the only normal people in the world and everyone else is a bit strange. To be normal is something we strive for. The fact is, if something happened to us physically we would worry about what is going on until the Doctor says oh that is just normal. Then we sigh in relief thinking we’re normal and not weird after all. We find a great comfort in knowing we are not alone or odd and being with a crowd. There are some people that like to think themselves as a nonconformist. Even non-conformists have certain conformity to be able to be non-conformist. If you don’t meet that non-conforming conformity you are not a non-conformist you are really conforming to everyone else. Whatever the dynamics are in society, we always want to be normal with some people we can associate with and that is why Jesus says broad is the way and wide is that road that leads to destruction. We think if everyone is doing wrong and we will just be one in the crowd, who will pick me out to be punished more than anyone else? I remember when I was at school whenever I was in trouble I felt so much comfort in being in trouble with someone else. If I was there by myself it was never as fun as when I was there with someone else. I would take comfort with someone else being with me in trouble and we do this in society. We generally call normal whatever the populace is or does but if that is the case then fidelity in marriage is abnormal and it is not normal for a Christian to really follow Jesus if we go by the populace. As a Christian church we want to look at Jesus because that is the reason why we are a church. When we look at Jesus, we look at Him coming to this earth with an object. Remember what He said when He came from the wilderness? He began to preach the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He came to launch out the kingdom of heaven on earth. He came to launch out a religion which when I look today has been dreadfully contorted. It is expressed in the words of Jesus to Nicodemus.

When Was the Papal Deadly Wound Healed?
Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
In 1848, the great revolution which shook so many thrones in Europe, drove the pope also from his dominions. His restoration shortly after was through the force of foreign bayonets, by which alone he was upheld till his final loss of temporal power in 1870. The overthrow of the papacy in 1798 marked the conclusion of the prophetic period of 1260 years, and constituted the “deadly wound” prophesied in Rev.13:3, to come upon this power; but this deadly wound was to be “healed.” In 1800 another pope was elected; his palace and temporal dominion were restored, and every prerogative except, as Mr. Croly says, that of a systematic persecutor, was again under his control; and thus the wound was healed.
