Don’t Underestimate Your Potential
By John Thiel

In the society that we have been molded by we have developed a way of thinking in which we rely upon those who are in leadership to tell us what situations of life that we have to submit to. We wait for them to guide and tell us. The rulers of the world of society around us are the ones that dictate the condition that we are to be submissive to. The general populace do not exercise their mind in running the affairs of government. This mentality is translated into the church that ministers, presidents of conferences and Bible workers are employed as the workers that are to tell us what the truth is and tell us how we should function. To Yield or Not to Yield
By John Thiel
Audio: To Yield or Not to Yield

We are aware of the amazing effect that transgression had on the Lord himself our Father in heaven. The deep grief that has affected him because of transgression. Much more grief than any of us will ever have to suffer which was accumulated upon the very soul of our Lord and Saviour Jesus the son of God. As we reflect upon that, doesn’t that pull our heart string? Does that not do something to us that calls upon us to yield? However to yield under such kind psychological pressure that is affected upon our minds, has an effect on my surface thinking where really we are to have freedom of choice but as we see the mental activity that the word of God creates in our mind, there comes a point where we think we haven’t really got freedom have we. It’s either you obey and yield to God or you’re damned. That is the effect sometimes that comes upon us. Do we really have freedom of choice? Every single one of us feels the tug of war that take place inside of us when God’s word comes before us and we are convinced it is right but then we have certain inhibitions of within ourselves that prevent us from moving ahead to respond to what has been illuminated. This happens differently in each person’s individual life because what is my test is not your test. When it comes to the test whether I’m going to yield everything, even my pet feelings, I have to yield them up. It becomes a tug of war within us. Read the rest of this entry
We Have an Advocate

The Golden Chain of Love

We have contemplated the heaven we need to have to be able to enter the heaven that Jesus has gone to prepare a place in for us. 3. The Remnant Characteristics from the Seven Churches

The most distinctive features of the remnant are found in the churches of Revelation 2 and 3 God’s remnant in all ages. The prophetic sketches point to Christ’s first advent spanning to the Second Advent as a particular point in time in the book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Read the rest of this entry
01 Not by Discussion

We are in need of understanding a question that has been tossed about in many minds and in ranks of Adventism. This question deals with the Words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, the mount of blessings and yet this verse has caused all sorts of complications and problems in the minds of people.
Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus declared plainly that there could be no dissolution of the marriage tie, except for unfaithfulness to the marriage vow. MB 63.1 Read the rest of this entry

As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives with His disciples almost two thousand years ago, His disciples asked Him about the signs of His coming, and the end of the world. In Matt 24:6 (first part), He replied, “And ye shall hear of ways and rumours of wars.” Read the rest of this entry
7. Daniel 11 – The Consummation
By John Thiel
Audio: The Consummation
The conclusion of the Daniel 11 prophecy is cited in the following scripture.
Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The last word is ‘desolator’ according to the marginal reading. We have studied the activities of the desolators. At the end of all the desolations, we come to the consummation. Even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. God has a single objective in plan for this world. Read the rest of this entry
The Publican and the Pharisee Part 1
By Paul Godfrey
Audio: The Publican and the Pharisee
Have you ever been to court? Perhaps you’ve been sued or desired to stand up for your rights. How much stress did it cause? How much brain power did you engage in dwelling upon your case? When you receive a letter in the mail to say you’ve been summoned to court, you get this feeling that comes up and grabs you around the throat, especially if you’ve done something wrong. All that night you’ll go to sleep and be thinking about the events that have taken place and what they might say and what the result will be. The human mind upon earthly court cases is absolutely absorbed with going through the facts and events to put together your defense. All this is done before the date of appearance. Do you know that we all have been summoned to court? Read the rest of this entry

The Disapointments Along the Way
By Paul Godfrey
Audio: The Disappointments Along the Way
It is the duty of every gospel preacher to point out the way to heaven. Not to just point out the way, but to point out the turns and bends and everything that will be met along the way. The king of preachers Jesus Christ through his life and in his three years of ministry was pointing out the way to heaven. It is our duty to share what the Christian will experience along the way so there are no surprises. The Christian before he becomes released from bondage is born into this bondage and grows into the bondage. It doesn’t seem to be all of a sudden apparent. Israel grew and they multiplied and they had task masters put over them and it increased and when Moses came it got harder. The way of the Christian is that there is an awakening to a sense of bondage. Have I awoken to the bondage in my life? Have I awoken to the things that are giving me a hard time or haven’t I got to that stage yet? If we have not yet perhaps we can ask the Lord to come to Pharaoh and then things will get worse for us. When we feel these lashes upon our shoulders we will desire to be free. Read the rest of this entry

We have examined the Old Testament and the New Testament to see Gods church from the time of Christ to the end. We will now examine the writings of Sr White to see the display of Gods remnant church. This is to experience the benefit of what 1 Corinthians has been saying to the people living just prior to the coming of Jesus. To the people who are to be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. To these people God has given the testimony of Christ which was to be confirmed in Gods people to come behind in no gift waiting for our Lord Jesus Christ. Read the rest of this entry

And Follow Their Faith!
Compiled by Hans Fleschutz
Word Copy: http://www.scribd.com/doc/34319712/And-Follow-Their-Faith
In memoriam of those in the Seventh-day Adventist Reform Movement who died for their faith.
Testimonies of faithfulness and steadfastness during Germany’s dark days
Introduction
More than twenty years have passed since the terrible Second World War ended. Much has been spoken and written about that time. In several places memorials have been erected as a reminder of those inexpressible sufferings. In that time of great apostasy when the fury of war did its destructive work and the god of war was worshiped and glorified by nominal Christians, there were still people who had the courage to acknowledge Jesus as their Lord. They knew that salvation could be found in only One–Jesus Christ. Through love for their Lord they fulfilled His will; they “loved not their lives unto death” and courageously stood firm for their precious faith.
Faith is proven in times of testing. Thus the period under the rulership of the swastika was also a hard test for God’s people. The purpose of the Reformation has always been to educate soldiers under the cross. During that trial of World War II, these soldiers of Christ proved themselves victorious – faithful unto death. 08 Misinterpretations of the Compassion of God
By John Thiel
Audio: Misinterpretations of the Compassion of God
We are to come to the Lord and let him take self out of the equation of our life. If we do that then Jesus will become everything to us. The subject of self is involved in the marriage institution in today’s mentality. We have studied the subject of the marriage institution and the restoration of that which God’s people should be engaged in today. It is important when entering into such a subject we are free of human discussion and debate. We are to enter this subject as Nicodemus did when he confronted Jesus and Jesus said ye must be born again. Nicodemus discovered his Pharisaic research of scripture fell short of what true Bible study is meant to be for the salvation of our own soul. Read the rest of this entry

Our next point is to examine the particular components of marriage that God’s church is meant to convey to those who are entering into marriage if it is God’s church that is to restore the institution of marriage then heavens ideal of marriage must be entered into if they are restorers of the marriage institution. We pursue a continuation of what we did last time. Some of the quotes we read, we want to put into sequence in reference to what responsibility the church has to restore the marriage institution to those who are entering it. The Sealing of the 144,000
By Michael Cudmore

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Child Training Lecture 1
John Thiel
We are commencing a set of lectures on training children. The time in which we are living and in which we are training our children is relative. These lectures are not a mere set of guidelines by another human lecturer. You can go to so many different lectures and read books on child training, but as you compare them, you will find a discordant note among them, as they don’t all agree. The parent is still left with a choice of which one is right and wrong. In these lectures we are researching a “Thus saith the Lord.” in reference to child training. We are seeking to come to terms with the truth and nothing else can deviate from a plain directive from God’s Word. God outlines that there is no other way. What God says it is; it is not barbarity. The Relationship that Lasts Forever
John Thiel
God wants us to bask. To bask in what? In the fact that no matter how frail and weak we may be, if we come to him in contrition and in true dependence upon him, he is a father that smiles upon us. He is a father that wants our salvation and he has given us Jesus to bask in the sunshine of his mercy. We are to drench ourselves with that healing comfort that comes from him. We are confronted with making these choices that we would be able to live a life in the New Year better than the last year. A life of eternal value. We need to make choices all the time. The choice we make needs to be appreciated. Read the rest of this entry
Man’s Need of Companionship Part 1
By Camron Schofield
Audio: Man’s Need of Companionship Part 1

The humanity of the Son of God is everything to us. It is the golden chain that binds our souls to Christ, and through Christ to God. This is to be our study. Christ was a real man; He gave proof of His humility in becoming a man. Yet He was God in the flesh. When we approach this subject, we would do well to heed the words spoken by Christ to Moses at the burning bush, “Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place where on thou standest is holy ground.” We should come to this study with the humility of a learner, with a contrite heart. And the study of the incarnation of Christ is a fruitful field, which will repay the searcher who digs deep for hidden truth.–The Youth’s Instructor, Oct. 13, 1898. {7ABC 443.1} Read the rest of this entry
